Conversations with Courtney Eagle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Eagle

Courtney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Once upon a time, Eagle & Co Beauty was just a dream—a spark that ignited during my early years as a makeup artist. I didn’t realize it back then, but every face I worked on, every small, nervous smile I saw in the mirror, was leading me here. My journey started with a makeup brush and a simple belief: that makeup could do more than change how a person looked—it could reveal how beautiful they already were.

Over ten years ago, I stepped into the world of makeup, learning every trick and technique, mastering every look. But it wasn’t until I worked my first wedding that I knew my calling. Watching a bride see herself for the first time, that moment when her face lights up and her eyes sparkle with excitement—there was nothing else like it. I fell in love with the way makeup could hold so much emotion, so much power, to make someone feel radiant, ready to step into one of the biggest days of her life.

Over the years, as I poured my heart into bridal beauty, Eagle & Co Beauty was born. The name “Eagle” was a piece of me—a reminder of my last name, yes, but also a symbol of strength and elegance, qualities I hope every bride feels as she walks down the aisle. With this brand, I set out to create something more than just a beauty service. I wanted to build a place where brides could feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease, where every detail of their look is tailored to their dream vision.

Today, Eagle & Co Beauty is a team dedicated to making those wedding day dreams come true. We don’t just do hair and makeup; we listen, we connect, and we create looks that bring out the heart of every bride’s love story. It’s my personal mission to make sure every bride we work with feels as beautiful as her story is unique—confident, glowing, and ready to step into her happily-ever-after.

Eagle & Co Beauty isn’t just about the makeup; it’s about that incredible journey, the little moments that make up a wedding day, and a look that helps capture it all. From the first smile to the final hug, we’re here to help you shine.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not! Building Eagle & Co Beauty has been a journey filled with highs and lows, and every step has taught me something valuable. In the beginning, it was all about mastering my craft, and the pressure to get it just right for each bride was intense. Every wedding day is once-in-a-lifetime, so I put in long hours to make sure I was delivering the absolute best—and while that pushed my skills forward, it wasn’t easy balancing late nights, early mornings, and a high level of responsibility.

There were also challenges in defining my own style and brand in such a competitive industry. I wanted Eagle & Co Beauty to stand out as luxurious, high-end, and deeply personal, but making that vision a reality wasn’t always straightforward. I had to learn to trust my instincts, listen closely to my clients, and refine my approach over time.

And like any journey, there were struggles with balancing my personal life, family, and career. As a mom, finding that balance has been a constant work in progress, especially as Eagle & Co Beauty grew. But each challenge has fueled my passion and given me the chance to connect with my clients on a deeper level—I understand their stories, their excitement, and their nerves because I’ve been through my own journey, too.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every struggle has helped me create a business that’s strong, resilient, and, most importantly, truly connected to the brides we serve.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Eagle & Co Beauty, we’re all about making brides feel like the best version of themselves on their wedding day. I’m a makeup artist and stylist, but at the core, I’m someone who’s passionate about helping people feel beautiful and confident in a way that’s totally them.

What we do goes beyond just hair and makeup. We specialize in creating looks that feel timeless and elegant—whether that’s a soft, romantic style or something a little more glam, it’s all about capturing the essence of each bride. I think what sets us apart is that personal touch. I get to know my clients, and I’m there with them through those intimate, exciting pre-wedding hours, bringing calm and connection as much as beauty. It’s a special thing to make someone look stunning, but it’s even better to help them feel incredible from within.

The part I’m most proud of? It’s the relationships we build and the little moments that we’re a part of. Hearing a bride say, “I feel like me, only more beautiful”—that’s everything to me. Eagle & Co Beauty isn’t just about giving you a beautiful look; it’s about creating an experience where you feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease. At the end of the day, we’re not just adding makeup or styling hair; we’re adding to the story of a really important day, and I couldn’t love that more.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Finding a mentor or building a network can seem overwhelming, but I’ve found that starting small and being intentional really helps. For me, it’s been less about attending huge networking events and more about connecting with people one-on-one. I’ve had great luck by reaching out to people in my industry—sometimes just a quick message to say I admire their work and would love to hear their insights. Often, people are happy to chat and share advice if you approach them with genuine curiosity and respect.

When it comes to building a network, I focus on being present in my community, both online and locally. I’ve joined groups and forums related to my industry, and that’s been a huge help in finding like-minded people. Through these groups, I’ve found mentors and friends who understand my challenges and offer support. Engaging consistently in these communities lets people get to know me, and I’ve found that opportunities often come naturally from there.

Another approach that’s worked well for me is offering to collaborate or assist in areas where I have experience. By lending my skills, I get the chance to learn from others and form connections based on mutual support. Building relationships this way feels more natural and creates a foundation where real mentorship can develop.

Ultimately, I think the key is to be yourself, ask thoughtful questions, and genuinely listen. Whether you’re seeking advice, offering your skills, or just getting to know people, approaching it with an open mind and a supportive attitude makes all the difference!
