Community Highlights: Meet Hannah Jackson of The Skin Angel Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Jackson

Hi Hannah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started 12 years ago, I was freshly out of high school and trying to decide what to do next. I was a troubled teen and had always felt a little lost but I’ve always had drive and worked really hard and was ready to move on to my next chapter doing something I loved.
I knew I had a creative and nurturing spirit and knew university was not for me. I decided to start the journey of becoming a licensed esthetician. It ended up being the best thing I could have ever done for myself. This career changed my life.
I have spent the last 11 years learning so much about my industry, working for some of the best dermatologists in the region and dedicating countless hours to expanding my knowledge as much as possible. I had no plans to open up my own business, at least not this year. But I also believe in signs and when a space opened up inside of Vagabond Hair Studio, it just felt right and I couldn’t ignore that little voice in my head saying “just go for it”. So 2 weeks before my 30th birthday I signed my lease and The Skin Angel Aesthetics was born.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There of course have been challenges. Opening up a business all on your own with no financial support is not for the weak, but I have big dreams and refuse to give up. I truly believe anything in life worth having does not come easy and I’m only a few months in. I am a perfectionist so I struggle with wanting every single thing in my business to be perfect. I’ve learned that nothing can ever run perfectly but as long as my business is running authentically I am happy.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a licensed esthetician specializing in a number of results driven custom facial treatments. I specialize in acne, overall skin health, hydration, and aging skin. I also specialize in wedding preparation and helping my clients get ready for their big day.
I believe in bridging the gap between medical and holistic modalities in skincare and really looking at everything as a whole for the best outcomes. My practice stems from knowledge but also intuition. I connect really well with people and enjoy making them feel seen and heard in a low pressure, calm environment while they meet their skin goals.
I am so proud of my brand and can’t wait to see where I grow organically. All of my treatments are custom to individual skin needs but can include lymphatic facial massage, microneedling,dermaplaning, chemical peels etc.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
If you remain strong in your faith and with the right people around you supporting you, you truly can do anything.
