Check Out Goldie Boutilier’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Goldie Boutilier

Hi Goldie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was signed to my first record deal when I was 21, working with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. Later, I ended up moving to France and began DJ’ing and working as a model and creative director for fashion brands.
In 2022, I decided to start all over again and give it another shot as a musical artist. I released Cowboy Gangster Politician EP (2022), Emerald Year EP (2023), and The Actress EP (2024) as an independent artist. I’m currently working on writing music for my next EP and traveling between LA, Nashville, and Toronto to work.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My career has made several transformations over the last two decades. In short, I started out as an artist signed to a major label, ended up working as an escort in LA in order to make ends meet, got frustrated as my label ignored me, left LA to move to France and worked as a creative director, model, and DJ, before moving back home and returning to my roots as an Americana/singer-songwriter, reemerging as the Goldie Boutilier that you know today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Since becoming an independent artist, I have released hits like “Cowboy Gangster Politician,” “Body Heat,” “Pretending,” “Good Ol Days,” “The Actress,” “The Angel And The Saint,” and more. My songs have streamed over 10 million times worldwide. I am so proud of myself for achieving this as an independent artist with a small, yet trusted team. I want to support other women and non-binary artists in the industry in ways that I wished other people would’ve done for me when I first joined the music industry.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Always trust your own instincts to follow your dreams. Work hard, push yourself, and find a team that you can trust.
