Daily Inspiration: Meet Justine Blanchet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justine Blanchet

Hi Justine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started playing music when i was 4 years old. My mom would play many of my now influences when i was a baby. I grew up to learn multiple instruments and start singing on a steady basis at the age of 12. I originally got started in the opera genre and switched to country at 15 years old. At 16 years old, i released my first single and i’ve been releasing music every since. I moved to Nashville in 2023 and i’ve ben pursuing my career ever since.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I’ve face a lot of bumps along the road, a lot of rejection, and a lot of detours. I still deal with them on a steady basis. Some of the most notable struggles include not being able to move along my career when i wanted it to. Sometimes, i may have all the will in the world and all the motivation to get to where i’d like to be but it’s very difficult to accomplish as an independent artist.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m known for singing country music and writing my own music. I’m proud that i’ve stayed in this industry for as long as i have. I believe that my commitment and approach sets me apart. I don’t care for fame of recognition. I just want to make other people feel heard and feel like their experience is real.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think the industry could go a few different ways in the next decade. It depends on what part of the world but i think country music will get bigger on a global scale. Country music might even becoming a more influential trend setter.
