Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As I sit here reflecting on my journey, I’m filled with a whirlwind of gratitude, vulnerability, and purpose. My sixth book, “She Means Business: 10 No BS Tips for Unshakeable Confidence”, is more than words on a page—it’s the story of my transformation. I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride of self-discovery, filled with unbelievable highs and crushing lows. I’ve faced self-doubt, fear, and moments where I wanted to give up, but deep down, I knew I was meant for more. It took a lot of inner work to silence those doubts and embrace my gifts, but once I did, I unlocked a confidence I never thought possible. I’ve learned that confidence can sometimes be misunderstood as arrogance, but I believe there’s a powerful difference. Confidence is born from purpose. Confidence isn’t about proving anything—it’s about using your voice, your experiences, and your platform to make a difference in the world. My journey has been about embracing my creative talents, and turning heart-breaking challenges into my biggest breakthroughs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My path was anything but smooth. I’ve faced confidence killers, setbacks, and life’s “oh hell no” moments. I’ve battled limiting beliefs, stood up to fear, and pushed through failures that could have easily held me back. But every obstacle taught me something valuable: resilience, courage, and the power of self-belief. I had to break free from perfectionism, embrace failure as part of the process, and learn to trust myself and my own strength. Learning how to become the most empowered version of myself has been a beautiful and uncomfortable journey. I believe confidence is about stepping into your purpose. It’s the result of doing the hard work, breaking through self-doubt, and realizing that what I stand for—empowering myself and other like-minded women—matters far more than the judgement of others. That realization became the foundation for She Means Business, where I share the lessons and tools that helped me conquer self-doubt and step boldly into my own unique gifts, abilities and purpose.

We’ve been impressed with CEO Ashley Holt Consulting/Creator of She Means Business Magazine/ COO West Village Entertainment, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Today, I’m proud to wear many hats—CEO of Ashley Holt Consulting, Editor-in-Chief of She Means Business Magazine, Nashville’s Music Scene Magazine and COO of West Village Entertainment. Each role reflects my passion for storytelling, creativity, and empowerment. With She Means Business Magazine, I’ve built a platform to highlight fearless female entrepreneurs, sharing their stories to inspire and uplift women worldwide. My work as COO of Nashville’s West Village Entertainment allows me to tap into my creative vision and leadership while alongside my incredible team of music industry icons. I’m committed to helping others tap in to their highest potential, whether it’s through actionable confidence tips, strategic branding, or championing the stories that deserve to be heard.

I believe success isn’t a solo journey—it’s built on community, collaboration, and powerful partnerships. Through She Means Business Magazine, I’ve had the honor of collaborating with extraordinary individuals: an Emmy Award-winning soap opera star, Emmy Award-winning journalists, international motivational speakers and podcast hosts, influencers, winemakers, and other trailblazing CEO’s and leaders. Every month, I’m reminded of the incredible power of connection and how these collaborations elevate our mission to empower each other. My support system—mentors, business partners, and a fierce community of other like-minded individuals —continue to inspire me. Together, we rise, we share, and we prove that when women mean business, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
