Today we’d like to introduce you to Arsenio Moulden
Hi Arsenio, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
What started out as another day at the gym working out, turned into the start of personal training. I was approached on numerous occasions about if I was one of the trainers at the gym, and of course I said no. So I decided to let one guy workout with me and gave him advice on what to eat. After seeing his results and what impact I could make, I decided to get certified and officially train clients which was the beginning of Phortitude Fitness. My first few clients were old friends who seen my personal transformation. I would train them out of their apartment gym or out the trunk of my car at High School tracks. This was during the pandemic so outside was the best thing happening. After 5 years of training and impacting the Murfreesboro community through health and fitness, my wife Jasmine and I were blessed to open the doors of Phortitude Fitness Training Studio in December of 2023. It has been a very fun, eventful, impactful, and challenging first year but we have been extremely blessed to continue to work with the people of Murfreesboro.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At the beginning the hurdles were first being confident to succeed in helping people, then having somewhere to train clients,
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have a degree in Civil Engineering and have worked in the industry for 14 years. I am most proud of being the first in my family to become an Engineer and Gym Owner. The ability to use my mind and body to help so many other people has been my greatest joy. Being able to communicate and relate has been my foundation in working with clients. Each client has their goals but my personal goal for each client is to build their mental strength first then their body will follow.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
To name a few that have helped me are Think & Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and Relentless. I also stay up to date on fitness blogs and podcast from ISSA.
