Meet Edible Ed

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edible Ed

Edible, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Edible Ed. I was a Chef in LA before having 6 back surgeries, preventing me from cooking professionally but now I have a family friendly internet cooking show. I do my best to Spread Love Like Butter.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been anything but smooth. But that’s Life, am I right? We all have our choices on how we handle what Life’s given us and I do my best with what I got. Life is hard. We can do hard things.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
It’s interesting. I’ve had a lot of different jobs but they’ve all been in service of others. I was a coach, a counselor, a law enforcement officer and a Chef. It brings me joy when I can help someone. It makes me happier when I can help someone help themselves. Geez, what a rush! We are all capable of incrEDible things. No one is born knowing everything. We have to learn as we go and most of the times we learn more from our mistakes than our victories. So let’s get to work, Chef!

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I really have no idea. I’ve lived a very charmed Life. It would definitely make for one heck of a film. But when I was younger, I would have game plans for how I would approach my Life. If Life wanted to play rough, I’d be prepared to pivot, no problem. But that all changed with surgery after surgery. It’s hard to plan anything when your body doesn’t want to cooperate. But I have a choice and I will always choose to do my best. Always. That’s why I have made the connection and impact I have made. When you see Edible Ed, you see me. Not a character.
