Hi Lauren, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started in airbrush tanning in 2017.
. A friend of mine from childhood had started a business in 30A and mentioned how much they thought I would love it. As a fair skinned redhead, I always was interested in every self tanner on the market. I started my training, researching the best products on the market, and began practicing on family and friends. Fast forward to 2018, I officially launched LP Glow (my initials are LPG for context). I reached out to local businesses and influencers in town to spread the word about my business. I was airbrush tanning on the side from my corporate HR job. I did this for 6 years as a side hustle until in May of 2024, I quit my corporate job to do this full time! It has been the best decision I’ve ever made. Making people feel beautiful every day is so fulfilling. I love getting to meet new people every day and creating connections and friendships with my clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not been the easiest road. By working a corporate job on top of my spray tanning business, I had many long nights/early mornings. Most days I would go straight from the office to tanning clients until about 10pm in the evening. Trying to balance both jobs was extremely difficult, since I was more passionate about spray tanning and my clients. Building up the courage to finally leave my corporate job was extremely challenging, as I had been with the same company for eight years!
We’ve been impressed with LP Glow, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a mobile spray tanning company. I offer spray tanning services in the comfort of your own home. I am known for using all natural and organic ingredients for some of the cleanest spray tans on the market. My attention to detail and relationships with clients also sets me apart. I want readers to know that spray tans do not have to be super dark/unnatural. Spray tans can be so subtle and also used to even out your skin tone/any imperfections in the skin. Spray tanning can be intimidating to some, I do everything I can to make clients feel as comfortable as possible!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I think a little luck always plays a part of life and business! Making connections always could lead to a huge client/or clients recommendations to others always helps!
Pricing:
- Between $55-100 per tan based on what type of tan/additives you select. Mobile tans start at $70! There are group rates for groups of 4 or more!
- There is a travel fee for anyone based 15 or more miles from downtown Nashville
- Spray Tan mousse is $40
- Spray Tan extender is $25
- Spray Tan safe body wash is $20
