Hi Kendra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my photography journey in 2017, inspired by shadowing my mother, who is also a photographer. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a passion as I discovered the joy of capturing meaningful moments. Over time, I refined my skills, created Soulistic Shots Photography, and turned my love for storytelling through images into a thriving business.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t always been smooth; one of the biggest struggles has been finding the right client communication methods that work best for both myself and my clients. Like many photographers, I’ve also faced challenges in standing out in a competitive market while balancing creative work with the business side of photography.

Soulistic Shots Photography is all about capturing the essence of life’s most meaningful moments. I specialize in creative art that spans across all milestones—birthdays, weddings, engagements, events, maternity, graduations, newborns, and more. What sets my brand apart is my commitment to making every session feel personal and unique, ensuring clients feel seen and celebrated. I’m proud of the trust clients place in me to turn their special moments into timeless memories, and I want readers to know that Soulistic Shots is here to bring your vision to life, no matter the occasion.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My mother, as I mentioned before, is the reason I started photography after shadowing her. I’m also deeply grateful for my mentors—Sedrick, Jacorri, Clyde, and Erica—whose belief in me has pushed me beyond the limits I never imagined for my business. Their unwavering support and commitment to my vision have been invaluable in shaping Soulistic Shots Photography.
