Meet Cassie Savage of Goodlettsville/Madison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Savage

Hi Cassie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Savage Cookie Co. in 2018 because I needed more creativity in my daily life.
At the time SC (formally Savage Collections) was just custom mosaics, logos, and invites but quickly turned into only cookies.
I started cookies on a whim September 2018 and haven’t stopped since. It brought the creative outlet I craved as well as the satisfaction of making something for someone else to enjoy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in life worth doing is easy and cookies have been no exception! I had to have a lot of grace with myself as I learned a new skill and figure out what works for me and my business. Along the road I have had day job changes, the pandemic, my mom having a heart attack (she’s doing wonderful now!), a divorce, and a move from central Florida to Nashville. All the while, cookies have been there to help me not just financially but mentally too.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in custom decorated cookies! I’ve worked hard at building my skills creatively and have taken deep pride in making flavors that people would love.
There are so many amazingly talented cookiers out there but I wanted to be able to not just make beautiful cookies but tasty ones too! I love hearing that my cookies are pretty but when someone loves the flavor, that’s magic!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I did cookies full time for 4 years but last year started working again full time so cookies have become even more of a labor of love. I absolutely adore having a tiny part of making any event a little sweeter.
