Community Highlights: Meet Jessica Torres Anna Campbell of The Nashville Duo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Torres Anna Campbell

Hi Jessica Torres, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We (Anna and Jessica) both started as new agents within a few months of each other at the same boutique brokerage in Nashville, Zeitlin & Co,, Realtors. We both instantly felt at home there with the leadership, support staff and the collaborative environment. Early on as new agents, we (Anna and Jessica) would go into the office every day to soak up anything and everything we could learn about real estate from other agents. Quickly, we struck up a friendship and continued to learn together and bounce ideas off of each other.
Early on, we were both blessed to be busy with transactions as new agents. Anna during her second trimester received a luxury listing opportunity where the seller, one the initial consultation literally said “and what are you going to do about that” pointing at Anna‘s belly. She immediately picked up the phone and asked.for me to join her on the listing appointment to help the seller know she would have seamless white glove service throughout the sale of her home. When the seller moved out of the home, she left a heavy and massive desk which we broke down with hammers & hauled to the dump (the behind the scenes glorious side of our industry, ha)! We laughed throughout this team effort, but we think it also triggered Anna into early labor days later. Her husband was texting me passwords from the delivery room to take over for her clients while she was out. Fast forward to Anna coming back from her leave and we decided how important it is as mom‘s to have work life balance. We both knew we love real estate and wanted to continue to thrive but have the flexibility to be at every ball game for our kids. 10 years ago the Nashville Duo was formed and it’s the best professional decision we’ve both ever made.
Five years ago our Zeitlin affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty. Partnering with Sotheby’s has offered countless opportunities to be able to share our local expertise with our global network. Anna and I have local relationships within our market and have partnered with agents all over the world to help their clients relocate to Nashville.
Over the years we have continued to pivot and perform while partnering with a powerful recognized brand.
Like many other agents, we have our fair share of stories, good and crazy, but we always find a way to laugh about something, anything! We work well together and balance each other’s strengths, and weaknesses in so many areas. Our Team is completely aligned in our mission, which is Whatever it takes for our clients, learn something new every day, white glove professional service and attitude of gratitude.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road of real estate is not always a smooth one. We continue to have surprises good or bad but we are problem solvers. If it has to do with a transaction, we will get it figured out no doubt.
We did have a time when Anna had a lot of restrictions because of her health and complications she was going through. She wanted to be out in the field healthy and working, but it was so important for her to be home and healing. That was difficult because of course she wanted to be healthy and I wanted to do anything I could to make her better but the remedy required time. Happy to report she is healthy as can be now and this probably built an even firmer foundation and trust and bond between us.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5 to 10 years, we will see a shift and different platforms that properties will be advertised on such as streaming platforms, and more use of AI. While marketing continues to change one thing will not and that is this business is built on relationships. As an affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty, we know our brand will continue to pivot and have the most cutting edge technology to stay current and stand out.
