Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Goldie

Hi Alexa , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My dream of being a singer-songwriter all started when I was 5. I remember watching American Idol with my Mom and being drawn to the television screen every time someone started singing. I wasn’t the normal child who wanted to play sports, I wanted to learn to play instruments and write songs. At 10 years old, I started performing in local rock bands in my hometown of Kingston, Ontario. From there, I began writing, recording and performing my music non-stop!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Short answer, no. Long answer, there have been many obstacles in my way but I always seem to find a detour around them. At first, I thought I would write a song, record it, release it and become a country star immediately. I learned that this was not the case. Being an independent artist has taught me that there will always be struggles, but that has made me a stronger songwriter, performer and person!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer-songwriter from Ontario, Canada. My specialty is writing sad songs, putting on an energetic concert and being able to name most 90s country hits! I am most proud of my determination to prove others wrong. Countless times I have been told “no” and it has never once stopped me. I am truly in love with the creative and storytelling side of country music and I don’t know if I will ever be able to stop!

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Nashville has held a special place in my heart ever since I first visited in 2014. Everyone here is nice, creative and welcoming. I love that no matter where you go in Music City, you will run into a songwriter, producer, singer, etc. There is never a dull moment in this town and endless opportunities to network,
