Inspiring Conversations with Andreea Mihalache of DAILY MAGAZINE / Certified Translator

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andreea Mihalache

Hi ANDREEA, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well, my passion for journalism started from a young age: I have always wanted to get as close as possible to the stars I saw on TV, to my fav musicians, actors, etc. And I have always been good at writing! From love letters to well documented press materials. Then I wanted to create my own magazine, to express myself with my own content, to arrange and promote what I feel as valuable and worth. This is how I met my best friend, Claudiu, and the person with whom I have the longest friendship by far. And we started by having our own website, to experience things, to promote people we believe in, to host events, to artistically move inside and outside our native country, Romania. This website turned and was rebranded into the online international magazine Daily Magazine, that has gathered in total by far 14 years of experience on the Romanian market. And yes, we reached many of our goals, we knew a lot of wonderful people, we daily extend our portfolio in the national artistic industry with diverse media partnerships, we consolidate our friendship day by day and we build more and more. Guess I was a constructor in another life :))
Secondly, my passion for translation, since this is my main business, started from a young age. I followed a bilingual highschool in my native city, Braila – south eastern part of Romania, I always loved foreign languages, especially English. During highschool I faced the denial of my skills from my English teacher who advised me wrongly regarding my exams, but whom I managed to prove wrong currently managing, for 13 years, my own national business as a certified English translator. And, yes, of course the travels that I made around the world and the people that I interacted with from many cultures, the people that I daily work with in this business, made me love English more.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If you want to do something professional or something valuable, I guess you either choose the smooth road, and you reach the top fast, but this does not necessarily ensure permanency, or you choose the long way, that, yes, can come with difficulties, but ensures you make a distinctive image by long lasting performance. At least this is what I think. I faced disapprovals from a young age, discouragement, dissapointments, but this made me work more, improve more, bulld more for my own success shared with my loved ones.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about DAILY MAGAZINE / Certified Translator?
1. Daily Magazine is specialized and reknown for promoting art in all its forms. We promote not only successful people, but people who distinguish themselves with what they do or with how they are. What sets us apart from the others is the fact that we are reaching for success at the same time believing completely and promoting human values. We love to have special relations with the people we work, we believe in mutual respect, mutual consideration, not only in profiting or in commercial.

2. My business as a certified English language translator is dedicated to all industries. I like to work fast, to observe every deadline, to be as professional as possible with all my customers, from national institutions, to individuals.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe in luck. I believe in taking and creating chances. I believe in luck made with our own hands. I believe in destiny. I believe in the “syntagm” working hard, I believe in being lucky to know some people at the right time. I believe in God. Of course, there are periods and periods, but apart from chance, I truly think that we build our own luck, starting from mentality, to actions.
