Hi Ankeet, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We discovered kava for the first time in Florida, when our partners decided to relocate to Tampa from New York. After visiting several different Kava bars and finding the culture of the Kava community, it was very dissimilar to any alcoholic bar venue. At the Kava bars, we found customers getting out of their seats to come greet and welcome us. I met 15 people in a matter of minutes and couldn’t remember anyone’s name. We were blown away by the community and how they supported these kava bars. The community and the culture is what sold us on opening our very own Cup of Kava in Clarksville, TN. Since June 2023, we have been bringing a similar community and culture to our town. With our acoustic jam sessions, trivia nights, and muddy Mondays, We look forward to helping the community stay alcohol free and create our own Kava community that is positive and supportive of each other.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like a lot of businesses, the road has been challenging at first. After learning how to identify the needs of the community and finding what their interests are we have just begun picking up momentum after two years. The biggest challenge for kava is getting everyone introduced to trying something new and familiarizing them with its benefits. Once they realize that it can make the road of their own day less bumpy, they find a way to keep coming back!

At Cup of Kava we specialize in creating non-alcoholic beverages that appeal to consumer needs such as energy, focus, or pain relief. We specialize in offering kava and kratom drinks which offer many great benefits. We also offer coffee, teas, kombucha, and more! What we are even more known for are the Trivia and Acoustic Jam nights. Along with our trivia fans putting their skills and knowledge to the test for a chance to win amazing prizes! We are proud of our ability to bring the community together and create a safe and sober free environment for friends, families and new community members. We are excited now more than ever to have established our roots in Clarksville. It is only a matter of time before we expand more Cup of Kava branches for the local cities here in Tennessee.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I was featured in 3 Jiffy Lube Commercials during the early years of my career in the automotive industry.
