Exploring Life & Business with Macey Corder of The Ville Social Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Macey Corder.

Hi Macey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I decided early on in my career that marketing, specifically digital marketing, was something I was super passionate about and knew I wanted to work with small businesses on expanding their content creation and marketing strategies. I went to school for marketing and before graduating I landed an internship that turned into a full time job at a local digital marketing agency, where I worked as a digital marketing assistant and learned the ins and outs of all aspects of marketing for a local business. I worked my way up to specializing in social media marketing and managed growing that department. After a few years working at this agency, I decided it was time to spread my wings and take a leap of faith for myself to start my own social media marketing agency, which is how The Ville Social Studio was dreamed up.

I started my own agency in 2023, and have gotten the pleasure to partner with some amazing small business owners across Tennessee, Alabama, and now I am expanding to Louisiana. Some of my very first clients are still with me to this day which is such an honor.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think any small business owner will tell you that owning business is never a smooth road! I still learn something new everyday. I think that’s important to recognize that you aren’t going to have it all figured out at first, you are going to mess up, and you will continue to grow. I believe as a business owner it’s really hard to not take things too personal, when it’s YOU who is providing the service. If something messes up or happens, it falls back on you and you have to take accountability for it. In that same breath, it’s so rewarding because it is YOURS. You will reap what you put out into the world. Your hard work and passion will come back to you. It’s tough, but it is so worth it.

We’ve been impressed with The Ville Social Studio, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Ville Social Studio is a local social media marketing agency that helps small local businesses elevate their online presence and connect with their community.

I know social media can feel overwhelming or even like a chore, but I truly believe it doesn’t have to be. I love helping businesses not just show up online, but show up authentically – sharing their story, building relationships, and becoming a trusted voice in their local community.

One of my favorite things about what I do is making content creation fun and as stress-free as possible for the business owner. When you work with me, it’s like hanging out with your digital bestie. We laugh, we brainstorm creative ideas, and we create content that actually speaks to your audience.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One surprising thing that some may not know about my business, is that I actually previously started a local influencer agency for nano and micro influencers before starting The Ville. So I’m actually pretty well-versed in the world of influencer marketing, and it’s definitely an asset for clients who work with me and want to dip their toes into that side of marketing as well.
