Today we’d like to introduce you to Javon Everett

Hi Javon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career in music when i was in elementary school i use to write poetry until i realized music coincides with it. then when i moved to north carolina in 2006 to finish high school, i was able to connect with like minded individuals wh said my style was unique. A rapper by the name of Bigmoshawty took me under his wing and helped me elevate my sound. few years later i joined the military while still perfecting my craft and love for music. Fast forward 2016 was released from service and decided to take music serious and build my brand up while attending college. In 2022 i spent from june to december getting to know the acting industry and doing background in movies and landed my first spekaing role in that time frame and the rest is history still being wrote.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every career has its hurdles, and I’ve faced my share. The industry can be tough, with constant rejections and pressure to conform. At times, I struggled with self-doubt and the fear of not being good enough. However, I’ve learned that resilience is key. Surrounding myself with a strong support system—friends, family, mentors—has been invaluable. I also focus on self-improvement, whether through workshops, collaborations, or simply pushing my creative boundaries. These challenges have ultimately made me stronger and more determined. My kids are some of my biggest influences to keep going because they harder on me then myself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an artist who specializes in music and acting, with a deep passion for storytelling that resonates with my audience. As a musician, I blend various genres, incorporating elements of hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, which allows me to create a sound that’s uniquely mine. I write about real-life experiences, aiming to connect with listeners on a personal level through my lyrics. In terms of acting, I focus on roles that challenge me and allow me to explore complex characters. I believe acting is about authenticity, and I strive to bring a genuine portrayal of each character to life, drawing from my own experiences and emotions. This approach has helped me build a reputation for delivering heartfelt performances that reflect the struggles and triumphs of everyday life. One of the most recent accomplishments I’m most proud of is me and tionnedre tribble song Embers. This song received Bet song and Best music video in over 18 festivals and connects deeply with my audience. It was a labor of love that showcased my growth as an artist and my commitment to creating meaningful art. Winning the silver award as Best Lead Actor in a christian short film in “Ties that Bind ” by director Taffiney Williams was yet another milestone that reinforced my belief in hard work and perseverance. This came after only being in the acting industry 2.5 years. What sets me apart from others is my dedication to pushing boundaries and exploring different facets of creativity. I don’t shy away from experimenting with new sounds or styles, and I’m not afraid to take risks in my performances. Also, I focus on uplifting other emerging artists, sharing my platform with them and fostering a supportive community. Ultimately, I want my work to be a source of inspiration and empowerment for others aiming to follow their dreams.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement and ambition for what the future holds. In terms of my music, I plan to explore new sounds and collaborate with artists from diverse genres to create innovative tracks that push creative boundaries. I’m currently working on my next album, which I hope will include collaborations that challenge me artistically and resonate with my audience in new ways. In addition to my music career, I am also focusing on expanding my presence in the film and television industry. I am eager to take on more challenging roles that allow me to showcase my range as an actor. I have several auditions lined up, a lead role in a film from Sarah Tuck Productions in which the project deeply resonates with me and allows me to connect with viewers on a broader scale. On a more personal level, I aim to take some time for self-reflection and growth so my kids know that mental health needs to be taken care of first. I believe that investing in my own well-being will allow me to bring even more authentic energy to my art. Whether it’s through travel, learning new skills, or connecting with different cultures, I want to continue growing as a person and as an artist. In summary, I am looking forward to creating more impactful art, engaging in meaningful collaborations, and actively contributing to the growth of the creative community. These upcoming changes are exciting for me, and I can’t wait to share my journey with my fans and supporters.
