Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Angelotti
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My first job out of college was at a winery in Southern CA. I was handed 60 weddings to execute and thrown into it my first year! After doing close to 150 weddings there, I knew I had gotten the experience I needed but always felt this pull to start my own company. At the time, I had the opportunity to move to Greenwich, CT so I took it. While there, I was working doing social media for a hotel group and starting Kelsey Rae Designs on the side. I did a few events in New York and the Tri-state area but knew if I wanted to give it a really solid go, I would need to move back to CA, where I had all my relationships solidly built with the vendor community. I worked for several years in CA and then decided to move to Nashville with my husband in early 2021. For the first few years, it felt like I was building my business again from the ground up. I was traveling back and forth across the country every week and putting in the work. But now, we’ve been here for over 4 years and I can say we have a great presence in the South, which is exciting!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Owning your own business never comes without its challenges! Events can be funny and we’ve definitely had some great years and some slow years. I’ve had to learn how to move my business across the country and gain new friendships and relationships and basically start from scratch. It’s such a referral based business so it’s definitely been challenging to break into an already tight knit vendor community. But now some of my closest friends in Nashville are ones I’ve met through events!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the energy of Nashville! It’s such a vibrant city, with a great restaurants and so many fun activities for all ages. It’s a destination that people actually want to visit and there’s something to do for everyone!
What I like least about Nashville is that the infrastructure hasn’t kept up with all the growth! But I know it’s working to catch up and knowing the city is putting money into things like mitigating traffic, makes me happy!
