Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Bossert
Hi Megan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My love for storytelling began long before I understood its power. From a young age, I enjoyed all kinds of writing—poems, short stories, and more. After earning my bachelor’s degree and stepping into post-grad life, I felt completely lost about where to take my career. As a multi-passionate person, niching down never came naturally to me (turns out, niching down is a scam).
I accepted a job at a local Nashville Destination Management Company, planning corporate events full-time. With a small background in event planning, I thought it would be a fun career path to climb the proverbial ladder. Little did I know, I had zero passion for corporate events and quickly found myself feeling unfulfilled—dreaming of more. More time to do what I love, more connection, and more creativity. Through that experience, I realized my true passion wasn’t in event logistics but in storytelling and connection (aka marketing)—and I thought, why not do it for myself?
Finding ways to unite people through a story or vision lit me up. I felt called to take a leap of faith, trust my skills, and build a business of my own. So, in a matter of weeks, I quit my full-time job with absolutely nothing lined up, believing the next right step would reveal itself. That one act of trust blossomed into entrepreneurship, allowing me to work alongside clients I’m truly passionate about (and never sit in a cubicle again—can I get a hallelujah?!).
Over the past year and a half, I’ve worked with organizations, singer-songwriters, schools, and more—helping them tell their stories and grow. I believe every person has a story worth telling—you just have to find the right way to tell it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The short answer is yes—the true road has been smooth because I know I was meant to do this, and like I said, everything came at the right time. But the mental road? That’s tough. Having the courage to step out of my comfort zone, believe in myself, and take the next right step is the road less traveled. Most people have it in them to pursue what they long to do, but fear gets in the way.
Fear is a liar, but it’s pesky and always comes back for more. I actively fight the fear of the unknown and trust that since I was called to this, it will all work out. Imposter syndrome will try to take you out of the game before you’ve even swung the bat. You have to fight daily to believe in yourself, step up to the plate, and know who you are in entrepreneurship.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in media marketing, with a focus on social media and various forms of copywriting. Known for my strong writing skills and passion for connection, I bring a unique ability to see the bigger picture in every project. To me, marketing is simply storytelling—just with a strategic twist. It’s easy to get lost in the tactics and forget the heart of the message, but I make sure the story always comes first.
What I’m most proud of is that everything I do comes from a place of faith in God and genuine love for people. I’m also stepping into the world of personal branding (hello to my content creator era?), building my presence on social media and sharing about my other deep passion which is health & wellness. You can find me on TikTok (@megbossert) and Instagram (@meg.bossert)—both are still in their early stages, so come join me over there and don’t mind my baby stage as I grow!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My best advice is if you have a dream, just take the first step. Don’t worry about if it is “right”, just take the step and then course correct if necessary. When I was first starting out I wish I knew that failure WILL happen if you are taking chances and growing. Only those who never risk anything, never fail.
