Today we’d like to introduce you to Isis Swink

Hi Isis , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, My name is Ísis Ra-el and I am a Holistic Healer, My name is a starting point to my journey. My dad is a retired history teacher and he was studying Egyptian history at the time of my imminent birth, His study and talking with Egyptians through his travels with the Army taught him that the correct pronunciation is Ísis (rhymes with Kisses), and also known as Auset. Ísis/Auset is well known Goddess of love, loyalty, medicine and magic among other things. Pronouncing it Isis is actually the Greek pronunciation. So as a child I knew all this information and was intrigued. I studied history, and was drawn to holistic ways of healing that included herbs, mindset and transformational coaching, self care and travel.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Just living life is full of ups and downs and ebbs and flows. So many lessons have had to be learned that created the strong woman I am today. Staying true to myself in a world where people are in a society imposed box was always my biggest struggle. I never felt that my life fit into a box. When I was younger I tried, but I just could not do it. I was meant to stand out and shine. As I got older, it got more difficult to hide, especially when I had kids. I never wanted them to hide or feel less than who they really were. To really do that successfully I had to stand in my own power, to not only talk to them about this but to be an example as well.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
For everyone who has a hard time remembering how to pronounce my name i added it to my Business name. I created GenIsis Holistic life for all who want to better their lives. I have a down home approach that is relatable, holds accountability for you and supports you every step. From the clients who are just getting into their journey to the seasoned clients who love the sense of community we offer, we have something for everyone. We start with Mindset. It is the most important things on a healing journey. How you talk to yourself, how you see yourself and how you love yourself are all things we go over. Within GenIsis Holistic life we also have a Self care line called Auset essentials that offer handmade, organic products that are aids in Self Love. We offer soaps, body butters,scrubs, oils and more. We also work with Sapphire Sun travel to host retreats in exotic, healing locations, as well as offer numerology reading for in depth introspection and herbal remedies for anxiety, sleep, 3rd eye clarity and more. I am proud of my brand because we are here to heal people.
