Hi Tiffanie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into dentistry has always been about more than teeth — it’s about service, empowerment, and redefining what health and confidence look like for each individual I have the privilege to care for. Today, as the owner of Definition Dental and Wellness Spa, I’ve created a space where those values come to life in every patient interaction and every smile transformed.

I was blessed to receive a military scholarship that paved the way for me to attend dental school — a gift that changed my life and set me on a path of purpose. After graduating, I served as an active-duty Army dentist for five years. That time gave me more than clinical experience; it gave me leadership skills, grit, and a deep commitment to serving others. I continue that mission today as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Tennessee Army National Guard, proudly wearing the uniform while also serving my community here at home.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in nearly every facet of dentistry — corporate dentistry, community health, correctional, and now private practice ownership. Each area taught me something different, but it wasn’t until I launched Definition Dental and Wellness Spa that I truly stepped into my calling. In my own practice, I get to partner with my patients — not just treat them. We work together to prioritize their oral health, boost their confidence, and focus on total wellness — on my terms and in an environment built for comfort, transparency, and excellence.

But behind the scenes, I’m not just a business owner and clinician — I’m also a wife, a mom, and a woman constantly working to find balance between duty and desire. There are days I go from handling business decisions to military drills, to helping with homework or bedtime stories. It’s a delicate dance, and not always graceful, but it’s real. And it’s fueled by a deep love for every role I hold. My family is my anchor and my motivation — they remind me daily why I do what I do.

At Definition Dental and Wellness Spa, we’ve created something special — a fusion of cosmetic and general dentistry, facial aesthetics, and a wellness-forward approach that’s about so much more than just a smile. It’s about how people feel when they leave. My goal is always to help patients define confidence on their own terms, just like I’ve defined success on mine.

The journey from Army dentist to business owner has been full of growth, grit, and grace. I’m proud of every chapter — and excited for what’s still ahead.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t been without its struggles. As a first-generation business owner, I had no blueprint, no family footsteps to follow — just a vision, faith, and the grit to build something from nothing. Starting Definition Dental and Wellness Spa from scratch was overwhelming in itself, but shortly after opening, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Like so many others, I was forced to close my doors, navigate uncertainty, and figure out how to keep my dream alive while the world shut down. On top of that, I faced a personal health battle with a cancer diagnosis and a year later was experiencing the joy and exhaustion of welcoming a new baby. Juggling motherhood, marriage, military service, and entrepreneurship all while managing staffing challenges and the daily demands of being a one-woman show took a toll — mentally, emotionally, and physically. There were moments I questioned if I could keep going. But every obstacle shaped me, refined me, and strengthened the purpose behind what I’ve built. I’ve learned that being a leader doesn’t mean having all the answers — it means showing up, even when it’s hard, and continuing to pave the way for others who may be walking a similar path.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson learned along my journey is to follow my instincts and not let anyone hold me hostage in my business.
