Today we’d like to introduce you to Trina Arrieta.

Hi Trina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2017, my family & I moved from Southern California to Spring Hill, TN. We had no family or friends here, so we had no one to help us with our children when we needed to attend an appointment, look at homes, or visit schools. A friend of mine introduced me to a facility in Franklin, TN that provided “casual drop-in childcare services”. I had no idea anything like that even existed at the time. I became friends with the owner and told her how great it would be to start something like that in Spring Hill. At the time, she was not looking to expand her business, but she was kind enough to tell me all about how I could start one of my own.

In 2018, I opened Need A Break Casual Drop Off Childcare! My vision was to create a casual drop off childcare that would serve hard-working Mom’s and Dad’s who sometimes just “Need A Break”!

At Need A Break, we provide short term, use-as-needed, childcare; so parents & families can do the things they need, like having a Mommy & Daddy date night, or attending an important meeting, or going to a doctor appointment, or maybe just having a relaxing evening without the kiddos.

We have a loving, caring, and safe environment for kiddos that focuses on active play, creativity, and imagination. We do arts & crafts, make slime, color and paint, and have lots of fun!

There are no contracts and no monthly fees.

Over the years, Need A Break has become an integral part of the community. In addition to building wonderful long-term relationships with parents, families, and the children who we serve; we also help to sponsor local schools, teams, events, charities, and organizations that provide childcare services to families in need. We are long time members of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce and support other local small businesses in our community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been “smooth sailing” for Need A Break. As a “casual, use-as-needed, short-term childcare” with no contracts or monthly membership fees, things can sometimes be challenging. We’ve had our ups & downs. Covid was a tough time for all of us small businesses. However, our community embraces us, and our families support us, and we have held strong for almost 8 years now.

Need-A-Break is a Casual Short-Term Drop Off Childcare facility located in Spring Hill, Tennessee created by Mom’s, for Mom’s. You know… Those hard working Mom’s who sometimes just “Need A Break”! Whether it’s to get away for a couple hours for a Mommy & Daddy date night, or maybe enjoy a relaxing pedicure, run some errands, get a little shopping done, or just have a little personal time… we’ve got you covered.

There are No Contracts, No Memberships, No Monthly Fees… No Worries! We offer a loving, caring, and safe environment that focuses on active play, creativity, and imagination so you can relax knowing your kiddos are in good hands.

Our personal relationships that we have developed with the mom’s, dad’s, and children who we serve, is our greatest characteristic and most important to our growth and development in our community.

• Rates are $14/Hr for the first child and 1/2 off siblings
