Daily Inspiration: Meet Rylee Barry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rylee Barry.

Hi Rylee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve loved singing my whole life. I began lessons with my phenomenal instructor Daphne Anderson when I was 7. What started as yearly recitals has turned into singing at private dinner shows weekly and National Anthem performances at the Nashville racetrack, local college games including Belmont and Vanderbilt and a Sounds game this May.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth for sure. Unfortunately there have been several traumatic things in my life that most young people have not had to experience. But through all of it- music was my constant.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My passion is singing. The biggest comment I receive is how no one believes I am only 14 once they hear me sing. I am very proud of the opportunities I have been given and my progression over the years. While I am most known for singing classic country like Patsy Cline, Jeannie C Riley and Lee Ann Rimes, I do love to sing songs by Ariana Grande, Madison Beer and Billie Eilish as well.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is being happy. Sharing my music with others brings me joy. I find it important to balance my life, and I think that being free to do music is a big part of that.
