Rising Stars: Meet Carachele Carter of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carachele Carter.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Carachéle – Celebrity Hairstylist, Colorist & Mentor

I’ve been in love with the art of hair since 2008, when I first began my journey under the guidance of some of the most elite professionals in the industry—Johnny Ramirez, Violet Teriti, and Kristen Ess. Their mentorship helped shape the stylist I am today, and I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the world’s most inspiring celebrities, influencers, and models ever since.

My work has appeared in television, film, and top print publications, and over the years, I’ve developed a reputation as a trusted colorist, extension artist, and beauty expert. I currently split my time between Los Angeles and Nashville, working with clients in both cities who have entrusted me to bring their vision to life.

Since owning my Carachéle Salon for 7 years and recently launching my Academy, I get to share my passion by mentoring the next generation of stylists—teaching not just the craft, but the love behind it.

“Hair and makeup are more than just creative outlets—they’re a craft that can transform, empower, and redefine a person entirely.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any business, mine has come with its share of successes and challenges. Nothing about this journey has been easy or handed to me—but I’ve never wanted anything more than to take the risk and see my dreams come to life.

I’ve faced some serious hurdles along the way—navigating the impact of COVID, the weight of social unrest, the heartbreak of losing my spouse, and the life-changing joy of welcoming our child. Through it all, I’ve leaned on mentorship, grace, an incredible team, and the unwavering support of my loyal clients.

This dream has been tested time and time again, but it’s one I love deeply—one I’ve held onto, even in the face of adversity.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a celebrity hairstylist, colorist, and extension artist with a passion for creating beauty that feels effortless, radiant, and completely personalized. I specialize in natural-looking, sun-kissed color—what I call the Sunkissed Technique—which I’ve developed and refined over the years to bring out the most flattering, dimensional tones for each individual client. It’s all about enhancing someone’s natural beauty in a way that feels timeless, healthy, and luminous.

What I’m most known for is my work behind the chair—the artistry, the detail, the energy I bring to every appointment. It’s more than just hair to me; it’s about transformation, connection, and making someone feel seen and beautiful in their own skin. Whether it’s a subtle color shift or a full extension transformation, my work is rooted in authenticity and intention.

I’m most proud of the space I’ve created with Carachéle Salon and Academy—a place where creativity and education go hand in hand. I’ve built something from the ground up, through loss, life changes, and every kind of challenge, and I’ve done it with heart. Seeing my clients glow when they leave the chair and watching aspiring stylists grow into confident artists—that’s the reward.

What sets me apart is the combination of technical excellence, deep empathy, and an unwavering commitment to my craft. I don’t just do hair—I live for the art behind the chair. Every highlight, every blend, every conversation is part of something bigger. This is more than a job—it’s my calling.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very Type A and driven, always pushing myself to do my best in everything I took on. I was super creative and expressive, especially when it came to art, fashion, hair, makeup, and all things lifestyle. I was the kind of kid who loved being active—I was athletic, outdoorsy, and a bit of a tomboy who could also totally get into glam mode. I was always up for an adventure, whether it was skating around the neighborhood, hitting the beach, or diving into something new.

I was bubbly, outgoing, and inclusive—I loved connecting with people and bringing others together. I had a strong sense of faith and was big on personal growth even from a young age. I wasn’t afraid to take risks or be bold in who I was. I was a total go-getter, full of energy, curiosity, and passion for life… and let’s not forget my love for food and travel!
