Life & Work with Christina Kelly of Hendersonville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Kelly.

Hi Christina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been anything but linear. It has been shaped by life’s beautiful moments and unexpected turns. I’ve worked in various fields over the years, but as a mother balancing parenthood and life events was difficult. I found that working independently offered the flexibility I needed. That path led me to start an in-home childcare business, which was both fulfilling and aligned with my lifestyle at the time.

From there, I transitioned into notary work—a move that unexpectedly opened the door to commercial inspections and site assessments. I’ve found a real passion in this space and continue to grow with every opportunity. I’m also a real estate apprentice, expanding my knowledge and skill set in yet another field that excites me.

Creativity has always been part of who I am, which is why I recently began working with The Eventz Team in Nashville, TN, diving into the world of wedding and party planning. It’s a new adventure that lets me blend organization with artistic flair.

Along the way, I had the honor of co-authoring my first book—an anthology created with a group of powerful women, each sharing our own stories of strength and growth. And, of course, meeting my husband has been one of the most meaningful chapters of all. The name of the book is “From Rock Bottom To Rock Stars.” By Christina Kelly.

My journey has been rich with experiences, and while I’m proud of how far I’ve come, I know this is just the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Behind every step forward has been a story of perseverance. I’ve faced challenges that shaped me deeply—growing up with struggles, experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a baby, and walking through seasons of both physical and mental health battles. These weren’t easy moments, but they became the soil where my strength was rooted.

Through it all, my faith in Jesus has been my anchor. Even when the path was unclear, I kept moving, held up by grace and persistence. Each trial taught me something new about myself, about healing, and about hope. I don’t just carry scars—I carry stories, and I know every chapter has purpose.

My journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s real. And every step, even the hard ones, has led me to the woman I’m becoming.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear many hats, but everything I do is rooted in purpose, flexibility, and a love for helping others. I specialize in Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and notary services. In the site assessments, I evaluate commercial properties to identify potential environmental risks or concerns—it’s a detailed process that requires strong attention to detail, research, and a sharp eye for compliance and documentation. As a notary, I serve clients with professionalism and integrity, ensuring their documents are properly executed and legally sound.

Recently, I’ve begun exploring my creative side more through event planning. Working with The Eventz Team in Nashville, I’m diving into wedding and party planning—bringing visions to life, coordinating décor, logistics, and vendors to create unforgettable celebrations. I love seeing the joy that comes from a well-executed event.

I’m also a real estate apprentice with Josh Anderson Real Estate, where I’m learning the ins and outs of the industry—from sending seller postcards and learning backend systems to attending open houses and absorbing as much as I can. This role combines both relationship-building and strategy, and it’s been incredibly rewarding. I also have a heart for community so I do volunteering. My most recent volunteer experience was very rewarding. I had the opportunity to mentor a young lady in prison. It feels good to pour into others and see their lives change for the good.

What sets me apart is my adaptability, work ethic, and heart. I’ve never been afraid to pivot or pursue something new. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come despite the challenges—and how I continue to grow, learn, and evolve in each chapter of my journey.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice would be to just put yourself out there! This is what I continuously heard! Trust the process and have faith through it all. It is not easy, but what is??
