Life & Work with Chloe Thomas of Normandy Tennessee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Thomas.

Hi Chloe, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
At the age of 14, I was gifted a professional camera by my mom. She knew I had an entrepreneurial spirit and loved photography, which made this one of my most memorable gifts. I began to build my photography business rather quickly, which evolved into more than I could have ever imagined. This experience taught me every aspect of successfully operating a business from using social media to winning new business, offering exceptional results to my client base, a heightened sense of urgency to all inquiries, above average turnaround times for delivery of services and the most flattering result of all was handling a substantial amount of new client referrals from my existing base. What began as a means to provide me with an income stream as a high schooler turned into a lucrative and long term supplemental career that continues to thrive with each passing year. Later this year I’ll celebrate the 10th anniversary of ChloePhotography.

My photography business laid the foundation for what would become my primary career as a real estate agent. The qualities that set me apart as a photographer continued to drive my success throughout the transition. I acquired my real estate license back in October of 2022 and joined The TNT Group. During my time here, I have consistently been one of the Top 3 agents with each passing month. My desire to service my clients in ways that make them feel like they’re my ‘one and only’ has proven to be something buyers/sellers are seeking. I put my clients first, and I’ll do everything in my power to leave them feeling that I’m extending a level of service that is truly unparalleled.

Often times, I’ll have people ask how I juggle a career in both photography and real estate, and my answer is always the same:

“We all get 24 hours in a day , and we decide how we use that time. I choose to make the most of every hour being purposeful, intentional and strategic. It’s amazing how much you can get done when you start each day with a plan of action.”

I’ll forever be grateful for all of those who have chosen and entrusted me with both their photography and real estate needs. I’ll continue to work my hardest to ensure they keep coming back. And I’ll add that the greatest compliment I can receive comes in the form of a referral.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
You know what they say, nothing good ever comes easy. There’s never been a day when I’ve felt that success comes easily. I’ve worked incredibly hard for many years, and hard work pays off. I remind myself often that we miss 100% of the shots we don’t take, so take the shot! Do I face challenges? Absolutely! Do I feel defeated some days? Of course. Has there ever been a time when I question my decision to be self-employed as a photographer and a realtor? quite simply, NEVER! I have the heart of a servant and I find myself feeling incredibly grateful to have found a career that is so fulfilling. When my clients are happy, I’m happy. Zig Ziglar said, “Find the work you love and you’ll never work another day of your life”. That pretty much sums it up for me!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a real estate agent with The TNT Group, I am known amongst my peers as the agent that will not sugar coat. If you’re seeking a “real” and “authentic” agent, I’m definitely your girl. I believe in transparency throughout the journey. I want my clients to fully understand the buying/selling process and all that goes along with it. While it’s my job to handle and overcome any challenges we might face, I think there is great value in keeping the client well informed. This approach protects my clients from any surprises, and it also reinforces my desire to deliver on honesty, integrity and transparency in every situation.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
What was your favorite childhood memory?

My mom has been and continues to be my constant in life, but I lost my biological father unexpectedly at the age of 11. Because our time was cut short on this earth, I tend to cling to all the moments we had together. It’s all I have left of him. I always say that some of my fondest memories growing up included Skittles, Sundrop, John Deere Tractors and my daddy. I like to think that had he been here today, he’d see all I’ve accomplished by the age of 23 and simply say, “I’m proud of you.”
