Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Eggers.
Hi Megan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Long Island, NY. I moved to Nashville in 2021 with my family for no particular reason but to just get out of NY. I started my permanent makeup journey in 2017 taking my first class with Nadia Afanaseva, one of the first well known Microblading artists in NYC.
I immediately started my business ‘Brow Game’ and worked solo while renting a suite. I moved the business to Nashville and have been growing steadily since moving. I have had multiple apprentices work under me in order for them to begin their PMU career. I love helping and teaching others but I also love learning myself. I consistently take classes from well known artists to stay on trend with products and techniques.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Since moving to Nashville, we bought a house, had a baby and have changed jobs a few times. All of those situations have caused bumps in the road for my brow business but only temporarily. I always tell my apprentices to just keep going no matter what. No matter what your imposter syndrome tells you it is ok- keep posting and keep practicing.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in Microblading, combination brows, powder brows and nano brows.
I also specialize in lip blushing. Lip blushing is one of my favorite things to do because it literally gives the life back to your lips after age can make the natural color fade. I am most proud of my natural Microblading work and lip blushing. My healed Microblading looks undetectable and beautiful.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think nano brows will be really big for a while and I think microblading will make a big come back. Lots of artists were against microblading because many people were performing it poorly. When microblading is done correctly, the results are stunning.
