Conversations with Elizabeth Snellings

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Snellings.

Hi Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
What if healing .. could be worn?

That’s what I asked myself three years ago as I was battling through not only depression, but being an empty nester for the first time ever!

I found jewelry to be my therapy and a fun way to cope with the feeling of emptiness.

As a child born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, I always found myself attracted to the arts. Whether it be a painting or fashion, it always captivated my mind and gave me a desire to explore my own talents.

I remember looking at models and saying to myself, “I’m going to be a Fashion Designer.” So I became one… Jewelry Designer that is.

In my opinion, you’re not dressed until you put jewelry on, you just have on clothes.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road in being an entrepreneur. I actually started JazzEStyles Jewelry Design about 12 years ago.

At that time it was just a hobby, learning and an abundant amount of bad designs and frustration.

I moved to Nashville 13 years ago and I didn’t know the area or have any idea on where to start to push my business.

Most sales were from coworkers, which helped me build interpersonal skills and relationships.

However, I did end up closing JazzEStyles in 2017. Even though it was heartbreaking, I took that 5 year break as an opportunity to seek the resources I needed to grow not only my business but my design skills as well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At JazzEStyles, I believe that jewelry is more than adornment—it’s empowerment. I create handcrafted jewelry that not only enhances your outer beauty but also nurtures self-esteem and inner strength.

Each piece features carefully selected semi-precious gemstones like Rose Quartz, Jade, and Howlite, each chosen for its unique properties to inspire love, confidence, and tranquility. Whether it’s a wire-wrapped pendant, statement earrings, or a custom bracelet, every creation is a wearable affirmation of self-worth and individuality.

One thing that sets JazzEStyles apart from other jewelry designers is YOU! My mission is to not only make a piece of jewelry but to create a piece that reminds you to be who you are and live unapologetically.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
My grab and go book is “The Pocket Book of Stones” I’ve learned so much about gemstones by purchasing this book.

Can’t forget about my new “Sistergirl” ChatGpt..lol Definitely a great app to use.

I also use Canva to create post and reels for Instagram
