Today we’d like to introduce you to Cordelia Witty.
Hi Cordelia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I never set out to become a healer, but I’ve always been someone who felt deeply, listened closely, and held space for others with care. My educational background is in psychology. I’ve spent the last five years working as a school psychologist, supporting youth through emotional and behavioral challenges. Then, somewhere along the way, I started to feel a quiet nudge that there was something more I was meant to explore.
That nudge grew louder after walking through a difficult breakup and a spiritual awakening that cracked me wide open. I had been in and out of therapy for over a decade (mostly in), and while it gave me language and awareness of what I was going through, the talking alone wasn’t enough. I needed to heal on a deeper, more subconscious level, or I knew I’d keep repeating the same maladaptive patterns, even when I was trying my hardest to stop them. That’s when I began leaning into energy work, like Reiki, sound healing, and somatic practices. What started as a way to heal myself slowly became a calling to support others in their own transformations. I was learning that healing isn’t just about epiphanies— it’s about remembering, feeling, releasing, and returning to who we are at our core.
That’s when The Tended Garden was born. I wanted to create a space where people could feel seen, softened, and supported. A place where science and soul could meet. My work now blends my background in psychology with intuitive healing tools like Reiki, sound, and nervous system regulation. I support clients in releasing what no longer serves them and returning to their natural state of wholeness.
Today, I’m a certified Reiki practitioner, sound healer, and guide. I host 1:1 sessions, group experiences, and community-based offerings that invite people to come back home to themselves. This work has taught me that healing doesn’t have to be heavy— it can feel beautiful, easeful, and deeply sacred.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth, and honestly, I don’t think it’s supposed to be. Growth doesn’t come without friction. One of my greatest challenges has been learning to hold both worlds: my structured role as a school psychologist, and the more intuitive, soul-led path of energy healing. I’m often moving between systems that crave data and structure, and healing spaces that require softness, presence, and trust in the unseen. That duality has stretched me, but it’s also deepened my integrity.
Personally, my healing journey has been anything but linear. I’ve walked through heartbreak, chronic pain, spiritual awakening, and trauma that forced me to rewire how I relate to myself and the world around me. And I’ve had to do that while still showing up in my day job, my relationships, and my life.
But what I’ve learned is that breakdowns often come right before the breakthrough, and that healing is rarely about fixing. It’s about remembering. It’s about reclaiming all the parts of ourselves we learned to silence just to survive. And those moments— the ones where you are so exhausted, so heartbroken, so ready to give up entirely— those are the moments that define you. They’re the ones that ask you to dig deeper than you ever have before; and if you can push through just a little longer, you often find yourself on the other side of something you never thought you’d reach. And what greater gift could we ever possibly give ourselves than the right to reclaim our own lives? That’s true freedom.
Starting The Tended Garden and offering this work publicly has asked me to face every fear I’ve ever had about being seen— about being too much, or not enough. But every time I’ve chosen to keep going, I’ve been met with clarity, connection, and confirmation that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Tended Garden is a heart-led healing practice that blends intuitive energy work with grounded nervous system support. I offer Reiki sessions, sound healing experiences, and a unique integration of the two, where crystal singing bowls are played above the body, allowing the vibrations to move through the energetic field and physical body simultaneously. This fusion creates a powerful somatic experience that supports deep energetic release, emotional processing, and nervous system restoration.
Reiki and sound healing are especially supportive for those navigating stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or major life transitions. These modalities gently guide the body out of fight-or-flight and into a state of deep rest, and it’s from that state that real healing can begin. Many of my clients are deeply feeling individuals who have tried traditional approaches to healing and continue to hit walls over and over again. They’re seeking something more embodied, holistic, and soul-nourishing.
What sets The Tended Garden apart is its intentional balance of science and soul. My professional background in school psychology informs the way I hold space with a trauma-informed approach, a strong foundation in mental health + emotional wellness, and a deep understanding of the nervous system. However, I also lean on intuitive gifts like channeling guidance, reading energy, and creating sacred space for transformation. This combination of psychological insight and spiritual intuition makes the work both grounded and expansive.
Alongside energy work, I’m in the process of integrating life-path services into my offerings, such as astrological birth chart readings to help clients explore their soul’s blueprint, and tarot as a tool for self-inquiry and reflection. These practices aren’t about fate or prediction— they’re about reconnecting with your clarity, intuition, and truth so that you can choose your own path.
Clients often tell me that what stands out most is the way they feel in my presence— safe, softened, and seen. That’s the heartbeat of Tended Garden: healing that honors the sacredness of your experience, your body, and your story. I’m most proud of the way this work allows people to come home to themselves, not through striving, but through surrender. My offerings aren’t about fixing— they’re about remembering who you are underneath all the noise.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I am so grateful to say that my path has been shaped by so many hearts along the way.
I have to start by naming Meenu, the one I met in my hour of need and helped bring me back to life— not by fixing me, but by helping me remember my wholeness. Through subconscious reprogramming, shadow work, and compassionate coaching, she supported me in coming home to myself. And when I say divine timing— I mean it. When we began working together, we discovered we had been neighbors for years without even knowing it. When the student is ready, the teacher (and best friend, apparently) appears— and she just might live down the street. I’m endlessly grateful that Meenu has become not only a mentor and guide, but also one of the most cherished friendships in my life. We already have several collaborations coming up, and I know the work we create together will be deeply meaningful.
A thank you from the bottom of my heart to Paula. No expression of gratitude will ever be enough for your ever-present nourishment, encouragement, and unwavering support through all the seasons you’ve seen me through. I truly can’t imagine how different my life would be if I hadn’t walked through the doors of your home that day. Thank you for giving me my healing house. I love this silly little home and the laughter we share together— it’s been some of the deepest medicine I’ve ever received. You are my sister. Thank you.
I could list many more names, but the truth is, I’m grateful for every person who has crossed my path, no matter how briefly. I believe each person we meet is a teacher: serving either as a mirror or a message. Some show us who we are. Some show us who we are not. Either way, there’s a lesson— and it’s up to us whether we let that lesson grow us or harden us. I hope to always choose growth. Again and again.
