Meet Juicee Bub of Stony Creek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juicee Bub.

Hi Juicee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was led to become an artist by a family member who I frequently hung out with back in 1998, who at the time was an artist. It began one day when a song was on the radio and I was reciting the lyrics, at which point he told me I rap their lyrics better than they do and I need to be a rapper. I began my rap career in 1998, known formally as Lil Rue, until I rebranded my name to Juicee Bub in the year 2010. In 2001, I recorded my first hit single entitled “Freaky Freaky,” which was in high demand and heavy rotation at the hottest club in that era The Coppermine in Petersburg, Virginia every Saturday night. In 2004, I established Cheyeee Entertainment LLC and Cheyeee Entertainment LLC Publishing (ASCAP), then released my first LP ,” Freaky Freak Of The Year” which was in stores. From that LP, I released my single “Ms Maam” that received radio airplay and also made an impact in the clubs, which got me noticed and in talks with Sony Music and Def Jam. In 2007, I released an EP entitled “Rue Album Sampler” that featured the single “Get Loose” that was created for my older fan base, which has that old school, new school, and line dance feel, that attracted the attention of my younger fan base. During the year 2008, I released the single entitled “Shawty Got Back,” which created buzz in multiple nightclubs and also received radio airplay in multiple states. In June of 2010, the initial rebranding to “Juicee Bub,” was established, and not long after I wrote and recorded the ring tone for the highly anticipated Evo phone, and it was also featured in the Sprint HTC Evo Commercial via youtube receiving over 30k views. During the same year, I also released the self-titled LP “I’m Juicee Bub B*t@h !!” which featured the single “Pretty Feet”. In 2012, I released the single “Shake Dem Dreads” (featuring Pastor Troy) that was featured on the 2016 EP “It’s All About Me” In 2019, I began to INCORPORATE MY COUNTRY UPBRINGING WHILE INFUSING MY URBAN SWAG TO ESTABLISH THE GLOBAL COUNTRY MOVEMENT OF UNITING COUNTRY/RAP MUSIC, FASHION, AND ETC TOGETHER. In 2020, I released the single “Country Boys” (featuring Foogiano), which was also in rotation on multiple radio stations in a variety of cities and states. In 2021, I made an appearance as a host on the Wild ‘n Out tour. Also, I released the single “How We Do It,” which received radio airplay and also in rotation on a variety of radio stations. In October of 2023, I released the highly anticipated single “Country Breeze” (featuring Matt Journigan) a country singer from Nashville, Tennessee, which is gaining major traction on the radio, and is featured on the October of 2024 newly LP “Swagged Out Country Boy”. That LP has multiple songs that are actively gaining radio airplay such as “Shame On You,” “How We Do It,” “Country Boys,” and “Country Breeze.” Mid February of 2025 I connected with country singer Barefoot Joe and featured him on the chorus of my new single entitled “Born In The Country”. So as planned I assembled a (Video Shoot and Party In The Field) within three weeks that featured my Dj (Dj Sir Rj), a mechanic bull, bar trailer, food trucks, monster trucks, atvs/utvs, trucks, and over 500 people in attendance in their country attire which was filmed by Barefoot Bandit Productions on the day of Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 on my/family land in the country a rural area of Stony Creek, VA. Kickin Country Line Dance premiered the official “Born In The Country” video the day before the release on Thursday April 24th, 2025 at Great American Ranch (Midlothian, VA) which also had a excellent crowd in attendance. “Born In The Country” (featuring Barefoot Joe) was released Friday April 25th, 2025 on all streaming platforms. “Born In The Country” is also gaining radio spins and continuing to gain significant amounts of exposure.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has been obstacles from the beginning of my career until this present day. I’ve learn to embrace any challenges/obstacles etc and continue to move forward, keeping “The Mane Upstairs” first and stay prayed up always, as they all were lessons that needed to be learned which also made me stronger as an overall in every aspect.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a American rapper-songwriter-producer and host. Known as Juicee Bub also Juicee Bub “Dat Country Boy” I’m a true trendsetter, a extremely versatile and energetic artist with a passion for originality, combined with a southern down south flow that consists of creative slang terminology. My genre of music is (Pop/Country/Rap), which is the infusion of Country and Rap. Im proud of still being able to create music, be unique, authentic and also stand out in a industry that consists of changes. What set me apart is I’ve always been the one to set the trend instead of following the trend. My unique sound, and swag, also being one who grew up and fully experienced the Country lifestyle, which I infused with the Rap.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Being authenticly me and continuing to stay in the lane that I created and is familiar with, also knowing what I should and shouldn’t do. Trusting my intuition, the process, and again continuing to keep “The Mane Upstairs” first and stay prayed up.
