Meet Grace Edwards of Atworth Household Management & Staffing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Edwards.

Grace, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my career in private service at 16, I worked during the summer and after school hours to help a busy family keep their life under control. I did lots of cleaning, laundry, organizing, meal prepping and nannied. It was a job that I loved and think back on often on how far I’ve come since those early days. From there I took a job as a professional nanny which eventually lead me to where I am today. It was a bit on accident I stayed in this industry. And yes I’ve tried to leave a few times only to realize this is my calling. Atworth was founded in 2022 and today we are a rapidly growing company with 2 services for families to choose from.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my greatest strengths—and at times, my biggest challenge—is my background. I was raised Mennonite on a small farm, where hard work wasn’t just expected, it was woven into the rhythm of daily life. With a big family and an even bigger list of chores, I grew up cooking meals from scratch, folding endless loads of laundry, and scrubbing floors marked with the footsteps of kids running in and out all day. We raised animals, milked our dairy cow, and made our own butter, cheese, and yogurt. I was baking sourdough long before it was trendy.

That upbringing gave me a deep sense of discipline, resourcefulness, and calm in the chaos—qualities that now serve me every day in my work. But it also meant I entered the world with very little understanding of how things operated outside that bubble. The past decade has been a crash course in learning, unlearning, and finding my footing. I often hear, “Wait—you grew up how?” It’s a reminder that where I started might surprise people, but it’s exactly what shaped the foundation for the life I’ve built today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
A Refined Approach to Modern Household Support

In a quiet pocket of Nashville, Atworth was founded on the simple belief that life runs more beautifully when the home does, too. What began as a private household staffing agency quickly became something deeper: a trusted partner for families seeking a calmer, more intentional way to live.

Atworth works with households across the country, placing experienced professionals into high-functioning, high-trust roles—Estate Managers, House Managers, Housekeepers, Family Assistants, Chefs. These are the people who keep the unseen parts of a home humming, allowing families to focus on what matters most.

Some families come to us during seasons of growth—welcoming a baby, renovating a home, or preparing for a move—and need hands-on, short-term support. Others are ready to build a long-term household team to carry their rhythms forward with structure and grace. That’s why we offer two distinct services, each tailored to a different kind of household need.

Timeless support
Private Placement

Families building their long-term household team often begin here. Our Private Placement service matches families with exceptional staff—people hired directly by the household, often for years of trusted service. We manage every step of the process: from in-depth consultation to discreet outreach, skillful vetting, and thoughtful introductions.

Once the right person is placed, we step aside—but remain available for support, guidance, or future hiring as needed. The goal is a lasting, aligned match—someone who brings not just experience, but harmony to the home.

A recent placement: A family completing a full renovation of their primary residence brought on a House Manager to take the reins—coordinating vendors, overseeing maintenance, and preparing the home for effortless entertaining.

For Lighter, Consistent Support
Atworth Flex

Not every home needs a full-time hire. For those seeking part-time, high-quality support, Atworth Flex offers a seamless solution. We assign one dedicated, Atworth-employed professional to provide recurring weekly assistance—whether that’s laundry and organizing, light meal prepping, or resetting the home between travel weeks.

Flex professionals are W-2 employees of Atworth—vetted, insured, and trained. We manage scheduling and oversight so the family doesn’t have to. The same familiar face, the same polished standard—just fewer hours, no long-term commitment.

A recent Flex client: A dual-career couple with two young children uses our team twice a week to manage laundry, errands, and household reset between work trips and school pickups.

(Note: Nanny services are not included in this offering.)

What Families Gain
Whether a home is bustling or quiet, newly built or lived in for decades, the right support brings clarity, ease, and time back to the family. That’s what we’re ultimately here to offer.

Atworth’s multi-step interview process includes both technical skills assessments and personality screening—so the people we place aren’t just qualified, they’re right. Our placements feel seamless, natural, and attuned. They become a quiet source of relief—lifting burdens, holding routines, and protecting the integrity of the household behind the scenes.

We’re proud to be the quiet solution—supporting families who want to live well, with structure, calm, and confidence in the people around them

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The people by far! It’s really cool to have so many divers pockets of communities here. I love hearing from our clients that move in from out of state how different things are here in a good way! There’s never a boring moment in Nashville including the traffic and that is by far the worst part.

Pricing:

  • Atworth offers flat rate pricing for clear transparency. Once a family consultation is complete and stop of work established we will give a flat rate of cost expected.
