Daily Inspiration: Meet Montana Chambers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Montana Chambers.

Hi Montana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always remember fondly the old eclectic store, “New Century Books”, and many of the people I’m friends with, or have similar interests with, remember it as well.

It was my first experience of what a Metaphysical Shop could be, and I loved it.

It obviously left a lasting impression because when I saw this shop’s location for lease, I knew exactly what I wanted to make it into.

So, I took a chance and invested all my time and energy into this shop, and I’m very proud of it.

I hope you come visit me there, and enjoy it as much as I do

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has, and it hasn’t. Being a business that supports people who aren’t Christian or anything other than the norm, has definitely put me at odds with some of the locals. Although, there have been struggles I wouldn’t change what I have done for the community for anything. It has been a gift to support my people who needed it the most.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work has given me a unique opportunity to create things that not just inspire me, but others as well. I wouldn’t say I specialize in any particular area, but that’s what I love the most about it. I get to create whatever I want, whether it be photography, or botanical art, or woodburning, I can follow my art and creativity wherever it leads me. I’m most proud of just creating a place that gives people a safe space to be inspired. What sets me apart is that I’m unafraid of being who I am, and it encourages other to do the same.

What does success mean to you?
I define success as having a life that that isn’t dictated by anyone else. Unapologetically and authentically, and I am truly grateful for that.
