Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandler Eggleston.
Hi Chandler, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m originally from Columbus, OH and I’ve had a love of music for as long as I can remember. My first time playing an instrument was at 4 years old. my family had an antique piano in our front room. One day after hearing a song on the radio I sat down and started figuring out how to play it.
My family got me in Piano lessons not long after that, I originally dreamed of studying at Juilliard to become a concert pianist.
That all changed when I saw John Mayer on the Continuum tour when I was 13. I decided right then and there that I wanted to play guitar like him. I got my first electric for Christmas that same year.
I joined my first band in high school with some friends of mine. We honed our chops locally and even got to play over in Europe. After graduation I decided on attending the Berklee College of Music, and got my first professional touring gig around the same time. This ultimately made me decide put school on the back burner.
In 2015 I started playing guitar for a country artist from Ohio after needing a change of pace. That artist’s decision to move is what brought me to Nashville in 2020.
In 2022 I turned my attention away from touring and more towards songwriting. This led to my first big cut as a writer in 2023 with “Chronically Cautious” by Braden Bales. The song became one of the biggest on Tiktok that year, and has almost 50 million streams on Spotify as of today. It was around this same time that I started writing and working with the artist Knox. His song “Not The 1975” became my second big cut – peaking at #18 at Top 40 Radio.
In late 2023 I was introduced to an artist named Ian Harrison, and I produced his first two singles, “Keep You With Me” and “Wish I Had”. I also started playing guitar for him on the road in 2024.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been about the farthest thing from smooth! When it comes to the music industry there are so many ups and downs that really test your resolve sometimes. Lots of sleepless nights behind the wheel of a van going across the country. Lots of gigs for little to no pay at all just chasing down the dream. You just have to keep pushing through because it’s worth it in the end.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Songwriter, Producer and Guitar Player.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
You can follow me on Instagram and reach out – I’m always looking for new artists and writers to collaborate with.
