Today we’d like to introduce you to Lil Billy.
Hi Lil, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began music at the age of 12 . My cousin was a dj and was teaching me to dj but upon hearing instrumentals I rather rap instead . So from that day forward I just continued my journey exploring different groups and genres u until this point where I’m opening for lil Wayne and Quavo etc.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve been to prison twice once state once federal I’ve been accused of serious crimes . I’ve had no support . I’ve been gatekept, overcharged, blackballed etc. But I’ve still managed to come out on top. I’ve had family tell me to quit , friends , even children but I stayed consistent.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about KeWi Management ?
I m a black opened singer / songwriter/ management company whom shapes and molds artist into the best versions of themselves. I’m known for my ability to hustle , and cross brands with each other that won’t otherwise be able to cross brands. My sensibility and streetsmarts helps me maneuver the corporate world easily. I most proud of the level I was able to reach without any real knowledge of the music bussiness just pure intuition. My fearless ness and no nonsense approach sets me apart from others. My artist will win by any means they are my top priority. I am professional and tactical and will help my artist reach whatever goals they have in mind asap.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
By accomplishing watever it is we set out to do. But mostly by longevity. Who is around when others start to fall by the wayside.
