Community Highlights: Meet Abigail Puckett of Puckett’s Supply Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Puckett.

Hi Abigail, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Abigail Puckett and my husband’s name is Tanner Puckett. We opened Puckett’s Supply Co. in the Fall of 2023 in Lebanon, TN with a desire to be an all-outdoor garden center with a large locally-made goods store in our barn. We specialize in all of the seasons when it comes to flowers in the Spring, fireworks in the Summer, Pumpkins in the Fall, and Christmas Trees in the Winter. As each season passed, we grew into a family-oriented environment where our local community could come and make memories during our peak seasons and events. We host seasonal craft shows annually where small businesses can have a space to engage with the local community and be supported. We are located at 1351 Hunters Point Pike Lebanon, TN 37087, just a few short miles from the historic Lebanon Square. Our vision is to grow our seasonal experiences by adding more family-fun activities for all ages and expanding our locally-made goods store.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With a ton of hard work and the early struggles of starting a new business, the road has been filled with a ton of learning curves along with major opportunities. Some of the struggles was our first location and the financial aspect of getting things started. We started with what we had, so it took some time to expand our seasonal product selection. My husband and I worked long hours, so our work-life balance was nonexistent at the time, but definitely paid off in the end. We also ended up moving from our first location off of 109 in lebanon due to our lease situation, but that was what led us to a much bigger lot in the middle of the city!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Puckett’s Supply Co.?
We are a seasonal focused business that operates in the heart of Lebanon, Tennessee. We sell a variety of goods including flowers, pumpkins, mums, and christmas trees. We create lifelong memories with family oriented experiences, activities, and events. We host seasonal craft shows, summer bashes, and worship nights. Our entire brand is based on supporting local businesses, so we carry locally-made goods that are handpicked and hand crafted.Beyond retail, the store actively engages the community by hosting family-friendly events, workshops, and markets that showcase local artists and food vendors. A strong supporter of the local economy, the store sources products from nearby farms and artisans, partners with local nonprofits. Its mission is to create a warm, welcoming space that celebrates local culture and fosters neighborhood connections.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We think that our industry as a whole will continue to grow due to the high demand of consumers wanting to know where their products are coming from and grown from. Prices have increased tremendously, so supporting local goods and farmers keeps the community involved and helps businesses price competitively. Why choose a large chain store when you can support the small businesses right where you live. High quality products will always attract customers.
