My love for home décor began long before l ever considered it a business. While I was building my career in healthcare, decorating and home design was my creative outlet — a way to unwind, recharge, and bring beauty into everyday life. I spent years studying magazines, paying attention to details, and finding joy in styling my home, especially during the holidays. It became a personal tradition, a way of creating warmth not just for myself, but for everyone who stepped into my space. Not only my space but decorating other homes.
When the pandemic hit and everything seemed to pause, I turned to candle-making as a new form of self-care and expression. At first, it was just for me — something quiet and comforting – but soon, others began to take notice. support of others inspired me to research, and perfect the craft. eventually I launched my own home candle collection.
Décor By Herron Home collection was created from that journey — a blend of passion, purpose, and love for all things home. Each piece is designed to evoke a sense of comfort, and connection for every home or business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges in creating Décor By Herron was making sure my products matched the vision I had for each home. From the very beginning, I was deeply involved in creating both my candle line and home décor floral collection. I wanted to bring more than just beautiful pieces into people’s homes — I wanted to bring warmth and comfort. That meant careful testing and refining to get every detail right, from selecting the perfect scents and materials for the candles to designing décor that felt timeless and inviting. It wasn’t always easy, but I knew it was important that each product truly delivered on what I promised, so others could feel the same sense of home and peace that inspired me.
At the heart of the brand’s style is a timeless elegance — clean lines, soft textures, and a neutral fragrance that invites calm and connection. The candles are thoughtfully crafted with subtle, nostalgic scents and simple yet sophisticated/modern designs that complement the décor. Together, each piece in the collection works to create an inviting atmosphere that feels both familiar and fresh. The look is understated yet intentional, reflecting the warmth and comfort that guides everything I create.

While continuing my career in healthcare, I founded Décor By Herron as a creative outlet, a way to bring balance, beauty, and a sense of peace into daily life. What began as a personal passion my candle line has grown into a lifestyle brand and has expanded into other retail locations across the west Tennessee area.
At its core, Décor By Herron is more than décor — it’s a reflection of life’s quieter luxuries. We merge interior styling, creating a candle line, crafting, and creativity to help others create spaces that feel warm, lived-in, and deeply personal.
