Today we’d like to introduce you to Haleigh Fioravanti.
Hi Haleigh, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Nashville native — a unicorn, as some would say. In my early 20s, I was bouncing around from passion to passion. I was a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, endlessly curious and always learning, but never quite settling into one thing. That changed when I met my husband, Keegan Fioravanti. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Keegan introduced me to the world of entrepreneurship, and I essentially married into that life.
Together, we launched our first venture, a recycling and composting business, born from our shared desire to promote sustainability in our community. From there, we started Lotus Building Group, which focuses on building high-quality, creative homes in Nashville. Just recently, Lotus was recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies in America, which is an incredible milestone, with Keegan at the helm of that business.
Meanwhile, my own path took me in another direction. In 2017, I partnered with my mother-in-law, Kayla Fioravanti, to launch Ology Essentials Labs. With decades of experience as a cosmetic formulator, Kayla brought the expertise that became the foundation of our company. When Kayla’s non-compete ended with her previous company, we knew it was the perfect time to join forces and blend our talents. Today, Ology Essentials Labs is in its 8th year, and we proudly serve small, medium, and large brands with custom formulation services, contract manufacturing, and bulk skincare bases, all with a focus on clean, high-quality products.
I never imagined myself as an entrepreneur, but now I can’t imagine anything else. This path allows me to keep learning, to wear many creative hats, and to challenge myself in ways I never thought possible. It’s been an unexpected journey, but one I’m deeply grateful for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I definitely wouldn’t say it has been easy or smooth. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. Like many others, we faced serious challenges during COVID and had to make some very difficult decisions to keep our businesses alive. There were seasons where it felt like we were constantly pivoting (sometimes more than once in the same year) just to adapt and move forward.
It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has shaped me into a stronger leader. I’ve learned resilience, the importance of adaptability, and how vital it is to surround yourself with a supportive team. Looking back, I’m grateful for those lessons, because they’ve given me both the grit and the perspective I needed to keep growing.

Ology Essentials Labs specialize in high-quality clean beauty formulations that meet the demand for transparency in today’s beauty industry. Our formulations are backed by over 25 years of formulation expertise. We currently offer a wide range of lotions, creams, serums, haircare, and body care bases, all expertly formulated by our Chief Formulator, Kayla Fioravanti. Whether a brand is just starting out or already established, our goal is to make high-quality, clean formulations accessible and scalable.
Beyond just providing bases, we also offer custom formulation services where customers get to work closely with our expert formulation team to create their dream clean beauty product line. We also offer full contract manufacturing services, which means we can support our clients from idea to finished product.
I am most proud of the fact that we have become known as a trusted partner for beauty entrepreneurs. We’ve built a reputation for both quality and care. We don’t just manufacture products, we build long-term relationships with our clients and truly celebrate their wins alongside them. At the end of the day, our mission is simple: to empower brands with the tools and products they need to succeed.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe the quality that has been most important to my success is resilience. Entrepreneurship comes with so many highs and lows, and the ability to adapt, pivot, and keep moving forward has carried me through some very challenging seasons.
I’d also add curiosity. In my early 20s, I bounced from passion to passion, and while I didn’t know it at the time, that curiosity became one of my greatest strengths. It’s what allows me to keep learning, wear many hats, and approach challenges with creativity. Pairing resilience with curiosity has allowed me to see obstacles as opportunities and to continually evolve both personally and professionally.
