An Inspired Chat with Jason Gaines

Jason Gaines shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Jason, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I would say that outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with my family. As I get older, I am finding that I better appreciate the time that I have with them. I love joking around, having a great time, and just soaking up the moments that we all get to share together.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Absolutely. I’ve been very blessed to serve in a variety of film projects throughout the United States, both as an actor and producer. I’ve worked in television, feature film, commercial, and voiceover projects, and truly enjoy them all. They each have their own uniqueness about them. I always appreciate getting to work on new projects when I can, and enjoy meeting new people along the way.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I think when I was very young, I really didn’t feel that I had limits and felt that I could be whatever I wanted. Throughout my school years and as I grew older, there seemed to be a growing feeling of limits to what might actually be possible. This was from a variety of factors, I’m sure. Now that I’m older, I have reverted back to how I began, in that I truly believe that Lord willing, you can accomplish anything.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
The exposure that I had to music from a young age gave me comfort, in that I pretty much took it wherever I went. I don’t remember many times that I didn’t have records, cassettes, CD’s, or whatever means of music that was available at the time, growing up. Whether I was cutting grass, riding my bike, or later on, my motorcycle, or in my car; the music continued to play.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe so. I don’t try and portray myself to be any different in the public than I am anywhere else. I think we all may be slightly different around those that we are more comfortable around, but really what you see is what you get, I guess I’d say.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I would hope that if there are those that I have helped in some small way, that they would simply remember, and pass along a blessing to someone else.
