Good morning Lizzy , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day to me is working! I do music outside of my main job I do! I’m in retail at TJ Maxx in Spencer, Iowa. But I do music on the side. Music is the main career I wanna do. I wanna be a performer.
But I mainly otherwise besides work. I do music, watch tv, walk, play with my dog Sundaze, on the phone with my friends and anything I can find to do.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi I’m Lizzy Louise. I’m a country singer songwriter from Mallard and Spencer Iowa. I have a band called Boots & Dreams with my best friend Brooklyn Mercedes. I also go solo music on the side. Music is who I am and is my passion! I’m a huge Miley Cyrus and Bailey Zimmerman fan! I love to sing and listen to music. I love playing guitar. My favorite show to watch is Hannah Montana to this day forever. The movie is my favorite movie. I love to do impressions and voices. I love being outside, like fishing and doing anything outdoors. I’m a country girl. I love going to rodeos. I’m working on my album gonna be called “Spiritually” for September of 2025 and also band songs with my bandmate! My favorite color is pink and blue! I love listening to country music from any era, 80s rock and pop, 90s pop and more! I’m a small town country girl for life!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My friends I say. My friends Brooklyn Mercedes and Olivia Hoffard has always seen me for me and always been there for me. My God Mother, she’s seen me for who I am on the inside and out and always believed in me. My family have too and everyone I work with at my job and even my old job too! I saw all my friends, even my friend Lynn Scott too!
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I heal through music! Miley Cyrus and Bailey Zimmerman is what I listen to most to heal! Miley has been someone I listened too since I was a young toddler from Hannah Montana and she always been part of my healing my whole life! Bailey became someone that heals me spiritually through his music! Changed my whole life from these two! They help me to cope with my anxiety and depression. They heal me! Also God heals me. Without Jesus I wouldn’t be where I am today!
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I’m a Christian, and I know not everyone is but I am and I believe strongly in God and Jesus! My faith is something I would never give up on ever in my life. I never leave God’s kingdom!
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I’m hoping people will just know me for me and not for what I do. I pray that when it’s my time people will get to know my real story through my music.
