We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tarabella Aversa . Check out our conversation below.
Tarabella, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Now that I live in Portland Maine, I really love watching the boats go by in the bay,
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey there! I’m Tarabella and I am a mural artist. I create large scale custom artwork for communities, restaurants/bars, private residences, recording studios, hotels, etc…. Each one is unique to the client but with my personal touch.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Oh I was this wild flower that loved to paint on anything and everything. I used to get lost in the woods and play by the creek. I have always wanted to be an artist and to lead a really colorful life full of adventures and travel and hoped to make history somehow.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Alchemizing pain into artwork is the whole point. It is what has brought me so much healing and understanding. You find out who your real friends and loved ones are when they celebrate both your hardships and achievements. Not everyone cheers for your success.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Justin Jones
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What pain do you resist facing directly?
