Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Tatia Rose

We recently had the chance to connect with Tatia Rose and have shared our conversation below.

Tatia, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
My 8 yo son. He teaches me to be present and helps me get lost in my imagination. All my biggest dreams happened when I was his age, and he helps me to remember that feeling.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the Founder and Director of Nashville Music Academy, NMA is a music school for every age and ability. We have amazing instructors who provide lessons for every instrument and genre, We offer ensembles, after school programs and supplemental music programming for partners like MNPS and Vanderbilt. We are also a provider of educational tourism for Nashville and have recently joined the Nashville Tourism and Visitors Bureau. It has been great teaching students virtually and in person from all over the world.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My father. He was self-employed as an author and lecturer. He also ran a farm where I spent my summers learning how hard work produces good character.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That forgiveness is real medicine.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
Fads are the result of cultural events and personal taste. Foundational shifts are the result of changes that cannot be undone, like war.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If immortality were real, what would you build?
The most amazing bedroom ever, because that sounds exhausting.
