We recently had the chance to connect with Randy Barnette and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Randy, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Fun filled with anxiety and Craziness and productivity
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Randy Barnette
Nashville Guitarist/Melody Writer.
A&R Director for Brand Artist Development.
Guitar Teacher at Tone Central Station.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I’ve been a performing guitarist for well over 35 years touring all over the United States and parts of Canada playing small clubs to 1200 to 3000 seat venues to outdoor shows to amazing crowds meeting all sorts of people from different walks of life..Thought I had life pretty well figured out lol..That moment changed April 23rd 2018 when things suddenly became a lot more clearer for me..God Blessed me with Sobriety..
I know see in clear color 🙂
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped masking my feelings with alcohol when I became sober in 2018..
God and Sobriety opened up a whole new outlook on life for me..I’m using it to help and try to inspire others..My life has taken a 100% turn for the better.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They know that God..Family and Music are the most important things in my life..My Sobriety has ties to all three..
If there was one more I could add it’s helping people wether it’s musically or in life.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Yes..A few times..There’s been a few gigs in the past that didn’t necessarily come natural it was something I chased or felt I needed to do and it came by me forcing myself to do it and not waiting on Gods blessings..I still have to remind myself to be still and let God do the work..I’ve learned things work out better his way than mine 🙂
