Hi Eskandar and Meghan, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely:) I believe in this golden rule – to treat others or in this case provide others with the service as you would want it provided. This is why the value is in a quality product where the turnaround is fast and the cost is the most affordable.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! We are Eskandar and Meghan Hilwi of Pair Videos. We specialize in video editing and content creation for all personal and business needs. Whether a realtor needs to elevate their online listing and create an engaging video using their listing pictures, an engaged couple is hoping to make a rehearsal dinner video, a podcast needs editing and the creation of a short promo video, a group of friends or a family wants to make a special social media post or video montage memory from their vacation pictures and videos, an event wants a highlight reel, or a business needs marketing, we want to make the process as fast, affordable, and enjoyable as possible.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Hm. I think all people are their best relationally and professionally when they can exchange pride and self-centered thinking for humility and a service-oriented win/win way of life.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
Failure is a part of success, and there is no shame in trying and finding a way that does not work. Failure can be like crossing a road and stopping in the middle of the street. It is not the final outcome, and people only need to continue going often to succeed.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Family is definitely the thing that matters most personally.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
For sure. I think everyone who creates something finds fulfillment and joy in the process and completion of a creation. Whether it’s music, a project around the house, raising a child, or something work related – I think we all have things that we want to do well because it is something we desire to do.
