Today we’d like to introduce you to Louissita Virgile.
Hi Louissita, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Photography began as a simple hobby for me — something I did just for fun. But over time, I realized how much joy it brought me to capture genuine smiles and special moments. Seeing others happy through my lens always made my heart full.
The inspiration for Girls of Honor Leadership Mentoring Program came from a deep desire to make a real impact. I saw a need — not just for mentorship, but for true leadership development among young girls. I wanted to create a program that would help shape confident, purpose-driven young women who understand their value and potential.
Everything I’ve accomplished and where I am today is because of God and my faith. They’ve guided me, strengthened me, and continue to be the reason I’m able to pour into others the way I do.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. There have been plenty of obstacles and moments where I hit dead ends — but instead of giving up, I just started over and kept going until things began to flow in the right direction.
Balancing everything hasn’t been easy. Running a business, managing a nonprofit program, and still being present as a mother and wife all come with their own set of challenges. But through it all, I’ve learned to stay grounded, trust God’s timing, and remind myself that every setback is just preparation for something greater.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the owner of Queen Bee Photo Art LLC, where I specialize in family and children’s photography. I’m known for my creativity, especially when it comes to capturing the unique spirit and joy of children. My clients often appreciate not only the artistic touch I bring to each session but also my fair pricing and the personal connection I create during every shoot.
In addition to that, I’m the founder of the Girls of Honor Leadership Mentoring Program, where we empower young ladies to become authors and entrepreneurs. Through this program, they gain confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of purpose that will carry them far beyond our sessions.
What I’m most proud of is that I never stopped — even when life threw challenges my way. What truly sets me apart is my mindset: I don’t allow anyone to tell me what I can’t do. I believe in pushing past limits, walking by faith, and showing others that perseverance and purpose will always lead you where you’re meant to be.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Yes, I’d love to share that I’m also an author. My new book, Touch: Come and Sit on My Lap, is now available on Amazon. It’s a powerful novel that features a collection of short stories meant to inspire, heal, and spark meaningful conversations.
Beyond that, I truly enjoy writing poetry and creating my own original quotes. Writing has always been another outlet for me to express my heart, share my journey, and connect with others through words and emotion.
