Hi Frazier, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. I got my finance degree from Austin Peay State University in 1999 and immediately began working as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch in Nashville. I trained under some of the biggest and best advisors in the Southeast during my first few years. In 2005 I made the switch to F&M Wealth Management which is a subsidiary of F&M Bank. Our broker dealer is Raymond James Financial services. I have clients all over the United States but primarily work with families in the Middle Tennessee area.
I help clients pursue their financial goals through a guided professional relationship. I am committed to providing a level of service beyond expectations and advice tailored to the client’s individual needs. I am passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities of the markets and add relevant perspective to ever-changing financial guidelines. The client relationship begins with discovery through conversation, and a strategy is established based on a comprehensive plan.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I got my start in the middle of the tech bubble. The Internet was making its way into people’s homes. There was a lot of optimism. Within a short time, the tech bubble burst, Y2K caused hysteria, Enron went bankrupt, the Supreme Court had to intervene in the 2000 presidential election, and 9/11 changed the world forever. That was the first two years for me in the business. When the markets recovered from the 2000-2002 bear market the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression hit in 2007-2008. Helping my clients navigate these challenging times definitely taught me the valuable lessons of discipline that has impacted my advice, process, and practice today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I spend my days meeting with clients discussing their financial goals, developing their plan, and implementing and managing their investment strategy. The primary area of business is retirement planning. Recently I have spent a lot of time developing AI assisted business processes that can considerably reduce the amount of time spent on reserach and CRM activities.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Clarksville is my hometown. Not many people can say they still live, work, and play in the town where they grew up and run a successful financial advisory practice with clients across the United States.
