Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Keyser.
Hi Lisa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Originally from Oklahoma, I knew I wanted to move to Tennessee after my first visit. Initially working in an Emergency Department in downtown Nashville, then as a Wound Care Nurse, my love for skin care/healing led me to The Aveda Institute to become a licensed aesthetician. When I opened my office in Nashville, I knew I wanted to offer unique treatments focused on pre-event skin care; getting the canvas of the skin ready for make-up artists and photographers. I was fortunate to have an incredible mentor, Eileen Harcourt in New York, who opened doors that led to working multiple years at New York Fashion Week providing pre/post show skin care for models.
Refined Boutique presented the space to open Lisa Keyser Aesthetics in Historic Downtown Smithville, I knew it would be a perfect fit. All the experiences, from the emergency department to wound care and aesthetics, have led to the practice I have now.
I founded Lisa Keyser Aesthetics with a mission to provide customized and results-driven skincare solutions for my patients. My unique background as a nurse and aesthetician allows me to approach skincare with a holistic and medical perspective, ensuring that each treatment is effective and safe..
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe challenges and obstacles are an inevitable part of any journey. Managing a small business—balancing the roles of provider, accountant, social media manager, etc. Most importantly, staying current with new trends and continuing education is a crucial part of my practice as aesthetic treatments are ever changing. I’m deeply grateful for my incredible husband and children for their unwavering support.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am excited to offer a variety of skin care treatments, based on your skin’s individual need. I have partnered with ZO Skin Health, and can develop a home skin care routine that will complement any in-office treatments. Customized facials, chemical peels, oxygen infusion treatments are just some of the interventions we can discuss at a complimentary consultation. One of my most popular treatments is the Australian Intraceuticals Oxygen Treatment, that utilizes specialty serums infused with oxygen under pressure. It is a no downtown, ultra hydrating and rejuvenating treatment that can be done immediately prior to an event.
I am most proud of the fact that I have always wanted to stay true to my core values. I will never recommend a treatment or a skin care regime that I don’t believe in, and always meet each patient where they are and work together toward their goals. I am honored every single time when I am a part of a patient’s skin healing journey, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Smithville community!
