Hidden Gems: Meet Lacey Steih of Lacey Grace Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lacey Steih.

Hi Lacey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After dedicating many years to raising my children, I found myself at a point where I could finally pursue a longtime passion—skincare and aesthetics. I’d always been drawn to the world of beauty and wellness, and with my kids growing more independent, I saw the perfect opportunity to go back to school and become a licensed aesthetician.

Entering the industry felt like a natural fit. I love connecting with clients, helping them feel confident, and continuously learning about skincare. After gaining experience working in the field, I took a leap and opened my own solo practice. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about being self-employed, but it turns out, I absolutely love it. I enjoy having full control of my treatment room, curating the client experience, and setting a schedule that supports both my business and my family.

With our oldest graduated from college and starting his career in Jacksonville, FL, one child playing college football, and our youngest still in high school and deeply involved in competitive volleyball, my life is full—but wonderfully balanced. Being self-employed allows me to stay present for my family while building a business I’m truly passionate about. It’s incredibly rewarding to create a space where clients feel cared for, and where I get to do work that fulfills me every day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a long and winding road to get where I am today, but every step has brought me closer to a career I truly love. Skincare has always been a passion of mine—I’ve dabbled in it for years, but it took time, patience, and life experience to reach a point where I could pursue it professionally.

Early in my career, I worked as a pharmaceutical sales rep in dermatology, which gave me a strong foundation in skin health and the science behind it. After stepping away from that role to raise my children, I stayed connected to the world of skincare through direct sales from home, often daydreaming about one day becoming a licensed aesthetician.

When the timing was finally right, I went back to school, both excited and nervous, to turn my passion into a profession. I haven’t looked back since.

The skincare industry is constantly evolving, and I genuinely love being a student of it, learning new techniques, staying up to date on innovations, and always striving to bring the best to my clients. I know people have so many options when it comes to choosing a provider, so I work hard to be excellent at the services I offer and to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Lacey Grace Aesthetics?
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that there’s no set timetable for starting something new or following your dreams. After graduating from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, with a degree in Business and Economics, I began my career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in Supervision and Regulation. It was an interesting place to work. I learned so much, had a great boss, and worked alongside amazing people. But I quickly realized that being surrounded by stacks of papers all day just wasn’t for me. I missed meaningful, personal interactions. And let’s be honest, banks were never too thrilled to see the examiners arrive!

When I became a mother, I was fortunate to be able to stay home with my children while they were young. Those years were some of the most precious of my life, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. But as my kids grew older, I began thinking about what I wanted my next chapter to look like.

I had always been drawn to skincare and the confidence that comes from feeling comfortable in your own skin. So, even though it meant stepping out of my comfort zone, I went back to school to become a licensed aesthetician. It was a dream I had carried with me for years, and I’m so grateful I didn’t let age or timing hold me back.

Now, I get to do work that I truly love, connecting with people, helping them feel their best, and continuing to learn in an ever-evolving industry. My journey has taught me that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself or to pursue what lights you up.

More than anything, I hope my children see that message through me. No matter where life takes you or how much time has passed, it’s always possible to follow your passion and create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that when you find your passion, it doesn’t feel like work. I’ve had the opportunity to experience a few different paths in my life, but the one thing that’s made the biggest difference is discovering what truly lights me up. When you’re passionate about what you do, it changes everything — your energy, your attitude, and even how you approach challenges.
