Today we’d like to introduce you to Sereena Barga.
Hi sereena, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I originally moved to Nashville to be a performing singer. I was making R&B music for about two or three years but couldn’t really get motivated or optimistic about my future. I was producing lots of tracks for myself and others but wasn’t happy. I knew I had always loved EDM music but was always intimidated by how much production work it took. I got in my own way without even knowing it.
It wasn’t until this past April, I moved in with another EDM producer who basically said it was super easy (it’s not) to make dubstep music. Because of his encouragement and support, I decided to start. I’ve been making EDM music for only about four months now.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No road is smooth. haha! But I kinda talk about it in the previous question.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a producer/DJ. I focus on making dubstep music and a little bit of house music when I’m in the mood. I’m proud that I did my first show this past Wednesday.

My friend and roommate Dan Labate. He’s an awesome EDM producer. Makes everything look easy.
