Today we’d like to introduce you to Christan Schiefelbein.
Hi Christan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My esthetics career started 16 years ago, I had a practice inside a medical spa for 8 years in Southern California. It was wonderful, but I also had a dream of owing a boutique fitness studio and took a pause from Esthetics for a few years and opened a Pure Barre studio in Tustin, CA. In 2020 we decided to move to TN and we put the pure barre studio up for sale. For a year while we waited for the right buyer, I dug back into all things skincare extensively, and obtained new certifications including micro needling and dermaplanning. We sold the studio in July of 2021 and moved to Franklin, TN in August of 2021. Once settled and in a new home here in Franklin, I began to look at rebuilding my esthetics career from scratch in a new state. A door opened, literally at Mason Chiropractic Health and Wellness in downtown Franklin where I had been going and I knew it was the right place to begin rebuilding. I’m so thankful to work with the people I do, I love the environment and my little space that I’ve gotten to utilize. I’ve been back in the skincare business for 3 years here in TN and have been so fortunate to help clients reach their skin care goals & continue to grow a new clientele.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Rebuilding a business from the ground up is never a smooth road, but I have had a lot of support from the office at Mason Chiropractic Health & We’llness, the Pure barre Franklin studio im part of and from great family & friends that I’ve built along the way. People telling people has been and has always been the best way for me to grow a business. It’s the kindest & truest compliment when someone shares your business with others. It’s been a slow grow for me and has humbled me as my name gets out there but I’m seeing the fruit of quality work.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Im a licensed Esthetician specializing in all things skincare. Specifically corrective skin care, aging gracefully and helping clients achieve their healthiest skin. I offer a variety of services customized per client needs, including Facials, Chemical Peels, Oxygen Therapy treatments, microneedling, dermaplanning, brow waxing and tinting. The service I provide the most is a dermaplane facial with Oxygen therapy. I’m most proud that I can and do provide a quality, results driven treatment to my clients. I really love people and getting the opportunity to serve them well!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
To trust that your work will speak for itself….and to be patient as you’re rebuilding a career!
