Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenni Hollingsworth-Evras.
Hi Jenni, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
During the pandemic I started my own small business where I would hand craft wooden signs. I hand designed and painted them. I did some shows and markets where I attended the Smyrna Depot Farmers Market. This Market is powered by Carpé Artista Arts Academy, a local non-profit organization for the arts in the community. Ron Alley, the owner and CEO of Carpé is also a close friend of my husband. They were in need of someone to take over the responsibilities of the market. Unbeknownst to Ron, I also have a degree in Event Management, so when he approached me about taking on the responsibilities of the market I jumped! This Market has been absolutely wonderful and rewarding. It has been such an honor to be a part of, and see the community grow in the last 5 seasons.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Though we have grown in the last 5 seasons, we are still struggling to get the word out to the whole community in regards to our wonderful local vendors.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a stay at home Mom, who started her own small business and then found the Farmers Market.
Any big plans?
I am working on the second season of the Smyrna Fall Market right now. I really want to see both markets grow and hopefully find a way to be a year round market. We are always looking for new vendors.
