Conversations with Renee Waniolek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Waniolek.

Hi Renee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story has always been rooted in creativity and connection. I’ve always loved bringing ideas to life — whether that’s curating a brand’s online presence, capturing the behind-the-scenes energy of a wedding, or transforming a space through design and decor.

I started out managing social media for small businesses, which naturally evolved into helping clients tell their stories visually — creating cohesive feeds, content strategies, and authentic online identities. From there, I began filming behind-the-scenes content for weddings and events, which led me to see how much I loved being part of those real, emotional moments.

Now, alongside my social media work, I co-own The Event Stylists, where we style events from birthdays, showers, proposals and more. We also can come in and decorate for the holidays – we can do home, office or porch decorating. It’s been incredible to merge my eye for detail with my love for aesthetics and storytelling.

Eventually, I’d love to expand into a small merch line — something that reflects my earthy, minimal, and soulful style. Everything I create, whether digital or physical, ties back to the same intention: to make things feel beautiful, intentional, and connected.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a straight path, but every challenge has shaped me and my work in the best way. When you’re building something on your own, especially in creative industries like social media and events, there’s a lot of trial and error. You’re constantly learning — how to manage clients, balance creativity with structure, and trust your vision even when things feel uncertain.

There were moments where I doubted myself or felt overwhelmed trying to juggle multiple projects, but those experiences pushed me to get organized, set boundaries, and really define what kind of work lights me up.

It’s been a journey of growth — learning to say no to things that don’t align, building confidence in my ideas, and staying inspired through the ups and downs.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
By day, I work full-time in entertainment out in Los Angeles doing business management, my roll is an account manager and I have about 20 clients that I handle. It’s a fast-paced role that keeps me organized, detail-oriented, and constantly learning — I handle a lot of moving parts, so multitasking and communication are a big part of what I do.

Outside of that, I pour my energy into my small businesses — it’s my creative outlet, and it brings me so much joy to help people and brands bring their vision to life.

What sets me apart is that I’ve found a way to balance both worlds — the structure of business management and the creativity of design and storytelling. I’m proud that I’ve built something that allows me to express myself while still maintaining my professional career.
